A Magical Time

Chapter 9

Raven Cruxho

            I listened for a reply from Jean, but instead I heard a bang against the door. Jean was indeed very angry with me. I looked back at Rochata, who looked very frightened by all the commotion Jean had made. He looked at me with in his eyes. He began to speak, but I shushed him when I heard footsteps. It was none other than Luke and Ed coming to take my twin away, and to give Rochata and I the peace we needed. When the footsteps faded away, I looked over to Rochata.

            “He’s my twin, what can I say?” I tried to joke.

            He looked at me, studying me with his chocolate brown eyes. He sat down on my bed, and he seemed to be very deep in thought. He almost looked confused by the happenings in his own head.

            “He’ll have to learn to trust me…” He finally said.

            “He will. I know he will.” I said in a reassuring voice.

            “Well I have two things to tell you.”
            “Fire away, my friend!”

            “Okay, first thing is kind of about your parents. You know how they were attacked by demons. As much as it hurts me to say this, they were betrayed by Sashaya, Sashaya Minya that is. I spotted her in the woods one day. When she left her house, I went in to get some food or something to keep me warm, and that’s when I spotted something on her desk saying finish off Cruxho family, which means—“ I cut him off.

            “She’s looking for us, and when she finds us, she’ll kill us,” I paused for a moment looking at the floor, “how do I know you’re telling the truth?”

            “This brings me to the other thing I wanted to tell you,” he said slowly, “I think I’m in love with you.”
