Chapter Five

Gerard's POV

I woke up to Frank shaking me gently. I groaned, "I don't wanna get up."

Frank laughed lightly, "Were back at the diner Gee." My head shot up at that. Mikey. He's dead because of me. Frank must have seen my hopeless look because he hugged me, "Come on Gee."
He grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the car and into the diner.

"We're back!" Ray called putting the bag on the counter.

"Good. I was starting to get worried. Any problems?" Dr. D called back.

"Yeah......" Ray trailed off looking over at me. I put my fist up to my mouth and shook my head holding back tears. Ray nodded, "Mikey, uh-"

"Is a dumb fuck. I know, I know. I'm sorry." I don't think I've moved as fast as I just did, ever. Mikey was sitting in one of the booths pouting. I looked at him stunned, he looked back at me confused, "You good Gee? No yelling or anything?"

I ran over to him, pulling him up and into a hug. I clutched onto him as tightly as I could and buried my head into his shoulder. He hugged me back awkwardly.

"Um, what happened?" He asked confused.

"I love you. I love you so much Mikey." I told him looking him in the eyes.

"I-I love you too Gerard. What happened?" Mikey was starting to get anxious. I could tell because he kept looking over to Ray and Frank then back to me quickly.

"Korse said you were dead. He had a Vamp confirm it too. I thought you were dead." I told him, I mumbled the last part.

"Oh my god. Gerard." He pulled me into another hug.

"Sorry to interrupt, but uh, who the fuck is that?" Frank was looking at Pete sceptically.

"Oh, that's Pete. He uh, actually, uh, saved me from the Vamps." Mikey stammered out. I looked at him confused, he wasn't one to stammer. Or need saving for that matter. Only sometimes.

I looked over at our new guest, "Thanks Pete."

"No problem." He told me nodding.

"You trust him?" I asked Mikey.

Mikey bit his lip and looked at Pete, "Yes." He drew the word out as if he was thinking about it as he said it. Pete looked surprised at his answer.

I held my hand out to him, "Welcome to our lovely band of outcasts." Pete took it gingerly and I pulled him close to me, "If you hurt Mikey or anyone else here I will personally shoot you." I let go and he sat back.

Frank come over and hugged Mikey, "Don't scare us like that again."

Ray hugged him next, "Don't meet sketchy people to get car parts." Mikey smiled as ray laughed.
