| EN ROUTE TO MIDTOWN HIGH |
Peter Parker walked side by side next to his best friend Ned Leeds, currently talking about the events that took place during and after Liz's party but deciding to leave out the intimate moment that he and Delilah shared at SHIELD's base.
"So, you're telling me that Delilah was driving a motorcycle? But not just any one, Black Widow's one?" Ned gasped with wide eyes, his hand placed over his chest. "Holy cow, this is like the greatest news I have ever heard." "Hey, what about you finding out I was Spider-Man?"
Ned stared at Peter for a second before shrugging his shoulders. "Okay, second best news." Peter rolled his eyes at him, adjusting the straps of his backpack as the sight of their school coming to view.

While walking up the front steps of their school, the two boys' heads turned around at the sound of car engine, their eyes landing on a black SUV parking in front of the school. Peter felt his heart leap around his chest when he saw Delilah step out of vehicle, the memories of what happened between the two flashing through his mind.
Peter licked his chapped lips, the sparkling feeling of Delilah's on his still remained. "Hey guys." She greeted them, a bright smile on her face. "Hey." They both said unison but Peter's coming out more like a stutter.
Delilah had a confused look on her face when she saw a very large grin on Ned's, her eyes then shifting towards Peter. "I'm guessing he knows?" She asked and Peter slowly nodded. A sigh fell from her lips as she stared at Ned, "Yes, me and Peter kissed but it's not a big deal—" "I didn't tell him about that." Peter cut her off, seeing his friend's jaw drop and his eyes nearly popping out of his head.
"Oh..." Delilah pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear, an awkward silence consuming the three of them until Ned spoke up quite loudly. "So does this mean that you don't have feelings for Liz anymore and you and Delilah are getting back—" He rambled but was cut off when Peter shook his head. "No, I still have feelings for Liz—" Instantly regretting his choice of words when he noticed the frown forming on Delilah's lips. "—it's just complicated..."
"Well..." Delilah spoke, trying to break the awkward tension. "We should head to class." As she walked by, Peter quickly grabbed her arm, his fingers wrapping around her small wrist. "Delilah I didn't mean—" "It's okay Peter." She reassured with a smile on her lips but he knew better. He knew that smile wasn't real. "Let's just head to class." She said, continuing to walk past him with Ned following with a sympathetic look on his face.
Throughout the first half of the school day, Peter kept on sneaking glances towards Delilah during their classes, thinking she didn't notice but little did he know that he was wrong. Delilah noticed his guilty stares, feeling his soft brown eyes burning into the back of her skull.
