Jimin's POV
A loud sigh escaped my lips. My right hand reaches for my temple as I gently give it a massage.
Biting my lower lip, I put down my phone on the table in front of me, my other hand playing with the Parker pen Chaeyoung had given me as a gift last week.
"Careful with the long sigh, Chim. What's bothering you anyways?"
My head snapped in Hoseok hyung's direction. He was sitting on the couch in the middle of my office while he, with so much focus, tried to build the monoblock tower that Jungkook initially built but Namjoon hyung so carelessly destroyed.
"Hyung, don't you think Chaeyoung has been acting a little weird lately?" I asked, swirling the pen in my hand, my eyes locked with Hoseok hyung's, his brows furrowing kinda look so adorable I can't help but smile.
"Not sure, honestly. Your wife has been weird from the beginning anyways," he muttered and I had to resist the urge of throwing the pen on my hand straight to his face. Only if it wasn't from my wife.
"What?" he snickered after seeing me rolling my eyes on him.
"My wife is perfect. Don't even try to argue with me," I snickered and he just made a face.
Chaeyoung went out earlier, saying something about having dinner with her team. I agreed because I have a lot of stuff to do anyway. Besides, I heard Jungkook will be with them so I have nothing to worry about. Taehyung would probably be there too.
"By the way, what are you going to do with your father and Chaeyoung?"
I tilted my head a little at what he said, the nerves restraining my movement a little.
It's been days but I still feel burnout. Plus, the sudden arrival of my father doesn't help either.
My chest tightened at his words, I gritted my teeth in annoyance.
"My father doesn't dislike her. I guess..." I stopped midway as I tried to find the best word to describe their relationship.
"He just doesn't particularly like her, is that it?"
A loud groan escaped my lips. And I hate the fact that I can't deny his words.
My father and Chaeyoung had never had a moment where they could be familiar with each other. To be honest, I was worried after I read Jungkook's message that my father was talking to her. Knowing my father, he could intimidate Chaeyoung and I don't like that to happen.
Chaeyoung is too precious to me and I can't deny that I'd like her and my family to get along.
However, ever since she and my father met the other day, she had been acting suspiciously.
She had been asking that we go on a vacation like going back to the US because she'd like to see where I spent the years when I was away from her.
I know Chaeyoung from the back of her finger. I know when she's acting normal and when she's not.
My phone suddenly started ringing and Chaeyoung's name appeared on the screen.
I scratch the back of my head. Normally, I would be ecstatic to see that my wife had been calling me but today was different.
I have this feeling that something isn't right.
I must have spaced out a little and didn't realize that my phone had been ringing for so long and Hoseok hyung had already stood up now smirking in front of me, his eyes told me he saw who was calling.
"Why don't you answer? You don't want that girl to get pissed off, do you?" he teased and before I can even utter a response, his hands were quick to grab the phone from the top of my table and the next thing I knew was Chaeyoung's voice booming across the room.
"Come home baby!!!" she started whining loudly, my eyes immediately widening. There's no denying Chaeyoung was once again drunk.
I heard Hoseok hyung chuckling as he wiggled my phone in his hand.
"Oh. Chaeyoungie looked like she had fun," he joked and Chaeyoung obviously heard.
"Oppa?! Where is Jiminie?"
Hosoek hyung smirked while he looked at me.
"Hyung, give me my phone," I commended and he just made a face.
"Oh, I just heard him. Jiminie! Come home, please. Jungkook and Namjoon oppa won't let me kiss them. I want to cuddle,"
I felt a surge of jealousy eating through me.
If there's one thing I hate about Chaeyoung being drunk, it is the fact that she loves kissing.
"Gimme that," it was probably my harsh tone but Hoseok hyung gave me the phone.
"Don't even think about it Chaeyoung or I'll make sure to beat both of them," I told her after removing the call from speaker.
I was already standing while I gathered my things.
I need to go home. Even though I trusted that the boys wouldn't do anything to her, it was Chaeyoung who was actually scary when she was in that state.
"Alright, I'm coming home baby," I turned around and waved goodbye to Hoseok hyung who just continued building the tower.
The sound of Chaeyoung cheering made me smile a little.
She must have had fun with her workmates.
"Are you in your room?" I asked as I pushed the number to the elevator, I heard the sound of something rustling on the other line.
I didn't end the call. I like listening to Chaeyoung speak.
"Yeah, Jungkook locked me inside my room. I hate him. I'm going to kick him out," she whined and I was actually all little thankful for Jungkook at this point.
"Chaey, what are you doing?" I asked and all I heard were movement and weird sounds.
My heart almost leaped out of my chest when I heard the sound of something falling but when I heard the sound of her giggling next, it made me calm down a little.
Just as I hopped inside the car, I was about to bid goodbye when I heard what she said next.
"Baby, I'm naked," she shrieked and I felt my mouth dry.
"I'm coming home," I told her and I pray to God I don't get into any accident because fuck, Chaeyoung just made me grip the steering wheel so hard I was sure something else was going hard on my body.
