in between blanking out and being overwhelmed by thoughts, jungkook realised he didn't want to cause anyone around him to be upset. he didn't want to make them feel miserable, he didn't want to make them feel disappointed, he didn't want to make them regret.
this was enough to make him spring to his feet. although it wouldn't be possible for him to leave the world without any regrets, he wanted to make sure that his biggest regret at his deathbed would not be the fact that he didn't get to tell his loved ones how much he loves them, how much he cares for them, and how thankful he is for them.

with the sound of a click, the door to jimin and taehyung's shared apartment was open, courtesy of jungkook. within their friend group, each of their fingerprints were registered and able to unlock each other's doors.
jimin and taehyung were not surprised that jungkook had just blatantly walked into their living room, for he texted their group about 10 minutes ago.

soon enough, all 7 boys were gathered in the living room, waiting for jungkook to make his big announcement.
" so, what's wrong, jungkook? " jimin asked.
" yeah, you look really troubled. " taehyung added.
jungkook looked down at the carpet anxiously, biting his lips which was a habit of his whenever he was nervous.
he wasn't sure whether he should tell them the truth.
