I tackled my way through the hundreds of people, looking for Chloe or Ethan. I don't think you could really find anybody in this place. CJ had rented out one of the clubs we found out when we got to her house, she was just leaving thank God. I had tried calling Ethan five times in the past half an hour looking for him, no luck.
As I felt the cool night air coming from the entrance I sighed. I'd been trying to get out of there for five minutes, pushing myself out, arms above my head protecting myself from the elbows and arms of some of the taller guys around. It was almost as if I'd never feel fresh air on my face. I made my way over to the stone wall surrounding the park opposite the club, coughing as I walked past groups of teens smoking in their angst. It didn't get quiet until I walked into the park. Looking back at the club, drowned in red light, black silhouettes dancing in the night light. I smiled of the thought that I had escaped that, looking back at the entrance I had come from, and only seeing silhouettes bopping up and down. I made my way over to the railings surrounding the promenade. I laughed as I noticed people swimming in the sea as I leant over the stone barriers.
"I guess you couldn't handle it either?" I spun around to face the voice. I couldn't really see him though. Making out the shape of blonde spiked hair. Sam. I sighed.
"Gee, nice to see you too." Crap, he must of heard me sighing.
"No, it's nothing, I've just been trying to find Ethan, you haven't seen him have you?" They hadn't got on very well, more like strangers than people that actually know each other.
"Naa, I haven't sorry." he didn't really sound sorry.
"So I see you've been getting on well with Chloe, where is she by the way? I was expecting her to be with you."
"Oh, yeah, she's alright, and I don't know, she disappeared after I went to get a drink." I'm guessing that drink was some kind of liquor mix, as I could smell it on his breath. And how could he not like Chloe? She was beautiful and fun loving. But no, there's him practically saying that he wasn't that into her. Damn, she was not going to take that well.
"Oh..." Once again, awkward silence, they seem to keep on re-occurring with Sam, not that I was attracted to him, no, it's just that he wasn't very, well, talkative. "So what exactly have you done with her for the past week?" they can't have just talked, that just wasn't Chloe at all, she was one of those 'go for it' people, sometimes she moved too fast.
"Well, things, you know." he said with a wink. Wait, was he hitting on me? This past week he repetitively gave me 'The Eye'. His eyes were looking into my eyes, then to my lips, by that point I knew what was coming and I didn't try and stop it. He leaned in closer and his hand went to my cheek, leaning in closer and closer until our lips were brushing each other until we just gave in. There was no spark when our tongues met, no lightning strikes or however the hell they describe a kiss. Nothing, just the kiss, he pulled me closer, wrapping his arms around my waist. And then the full force of something grabbing him and bringing him to the ground. At that point I realised that it was a fist I saw, and it was Ethan.
