I skipped up the remaining steel stairs to catch up with CJ and Chloe who were getting their hands marked for entrance. I held out my hand for the guy to stamp it with the logo of the club, noticing Jason had tagged along this time, he was wearing the same band shirt as CJ with dark blue jeans and Vans, his short brown hair swept to the side, CJ in light high waisted shorts and red Vans, with Chloe also wearing the same as me, but her shirt was black where mine was grey and lighter shorts than mine.
As soon as we got through the doors we all headed to the bar. It wasn't as packed as it would be, but that's probably because it had only just opened. The whole room was dark, with the only lights coming from the stage in different colours, couches and tables ran along the wall opposite the bar.
"Holy crap, how expensive are the drinks?!" I looked over at CJ, her mouth agape, I shrugged and ordered a Red Bull anyway, probably not worth the £2.50. I felt arms wrap around my waist, smiling I turned to face Ethan.
"Hey," a smile tugged at his lips.
"Hi" I went onto my toes as my lips met his, his arms tightening around my waist, pulling me closer to him, I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him even closer, I felt him smile under my lips.
"Ewww, get a room." pulling back we looked at Chloe, her face scrunched up in mock disgust. Ethan just shrugged and turned back to face me, "I'll talk to you later, yeah?" I nodded in agreement as his arms left my waist, winking he turned to his friends on the couch.
I looked over at Chloe who was eyeing me suspiciously. "What are you thinking?" I asked, stretching every word out. She just smiled, "How long do you think it will last?" I presumed she was talking about Ethan and I. I just shrugged, taking a sip of my drink. "I don't know, a while hopefully." she eyed me for a few more seconds, then her facial expression changed when she heard the music starting to play, grabbing my hand she pulled me down the steps and dragged me through the gathered crowd towards the front of the stage, cheering loudly at the band as they played her favorite song 'Liquid Confidence' by You Me at Six, while she sung the lyrics loudly.
"You've got nothing to lose
Except for me and you.
And I love that attitude
When you know I can do,
I'll do better than you.
If one drink, could make tonight,
slip your mind then you
Should drink up, so you can convince
yourself that I am cute
We are an example of,
why not to fall in love
It takes a turn and then it hurts
more than you could dream of."
The feeling of someones arms wrapping around my waist I looked over my shoulder at them, expecting Ethan, but was surprised when I saw Jason grinning at me, I smiled back and started swaying to the music before someone grabbed my hand and pulled me toward the entrance and outside, the cold night air slapping my cheeks, I pulled my thin cardigan over my chest, trying to block out the wind as it whipped in my hair.
"We're going to get food, you're coming with us!" pulling my hair from my face I found CJ jumping up and down in front of me. "Sure, where are we going?" the faint ringing in my ears, I poked them to try and stop it, CJ looking at me like I was deranged, instead of questioning she just shrugged. "Anywhere that sells chips, I'm starving!!"
Apparently when she said anywhere, she was being particular. Managing to drag the group that she had gathered up the road and around a couple of blocks to a fish and chip shop that was still brightly glowing. I jumped off Ethan's back that I had claimed when we got to the third block. We were out of there quickly, getting four bags of chips, one of them ending up on the floor as we were walking back because the boys were chasing each other around and ended up throwing chips at each other.
The gig was soon over though and we were all on the train, taking up a whole carriage, there were so many people coming back to CJ's that some were even on the other carriage, scaring the other passengers no doubt. The short walk from the train station to CJ's wasn't long, only really up a road and then another one. Her house was big, and slightly old, one of those Victorian houses along with all the other houses in the area. It was an artsy house, there were fushia painted rooms and antique furniture, mirrors and lamps, an untuned grand piano, and creepily enough a very old rocking horse with real horse hair, which we all thought was gross. It was impossible to find a seat, so I ended up on the counter, my shoes perched next to me.
"Hey," I looked to see Jason leaning against the counter next to me. "Hi," I looked down at my feet, swinging backwards and forwards. Jason cocked his eyebrow in my direction, smirking at me, frowning I looked back up to him. "Come outside with me." he held out his hand for me to take, leading me to the patio doors in the other room and taking me to the swings at the bottom of the garden. I looked at him curiously when he stopped, but he didn't say anything, he just stared at me, and before I knew it his lips met mine. I put my hand to his chest and pushed him back. "Jason what the hell?!" his looking down to the floor, shaking his head, "Me and CJ broke up," noticing he was trying not to show any emotion, I paused on what I was going to say. "I'm sorry Jas, I really am, but I'm still with Ethan don't forget." then he looked up at me, his brow furrowed in concern. "You broke up weeks ago didn't you?"
"What? No, why would you think that?!" I folded my arms over my chest, looking at him curiously.
"Hannah he's been fucking with Chloe for weeks!! Did you seriously not know that?!" before he had a chance to hear my response I was running towards the door, tears already staining my cheeks, leaving him in the garden, realizing that I hadn't known.
