What is pH?
- pH is the measure of hydrogen ion concentration.
- The higher the hydrogen ion concentration the lower the pH.
- Every time the hydrogen ion concentration increases by 10 the pH decreases by 1.

- The pH scale is broken into 3 main parts:
   -pH 1-6 is considered acidic.
   -pH 7 is considered neutral.
   -pH 8-14 is considered alkaline.

Strong or Weak
- A strong acid is one that completely splits up into ions.
   - E.g. Hydrochloric acid

- A weak acid is one that partially splits up into ions.
   -E.g. Ethanoic acid
