That night Aika had enough. She wanted to leave.
She wanted to leave everything behind.

So after her father went to sleep, she locked her bedroom door, and snuck out the window.

Where was the highest rooftop she could get access too?
The school.
So that's where she went.

Once Aika was at the school, she snuck in from the classroom window that was always open. It was broken so it never locked.

She climbed inside, and left the random classroom, wandering the dark halls till she found the rooftops stairwell.

She trudged up the stairs, opening the door to the roof. She stood on the roof, walking to the ledge. It was a far way down, 5 stories high most likely.

She stared at the ground.

That was it, Aika's gateway to hell, where she should be burning in flames of guilt.

She thought about what awaited her, and dropped all the items she carried.
She climbed up onto the ledge of the roof, not looking down, but up.

The stars shone brightly in Aika's eyes, her tears glistening.
She shook her head, focusing again.

And with that, she rocked her heel back, taking a step off the ledge.
She didn't look, she shut her eyes, awaiting the ground underneath.

...

But it never came. She opened her eyes, only to notice she was floating, probably at the 3rd story.

"Saiki..." she whispered.

And slowly she was being pulled up again. She got to the ledge, her body facing backwards, and she just fell backwards, into someone's warm embrace. And she knew that smell.

Saiki.

And she immediately started to cry, and she whimpered.

"I-I'm... s-sorry..." Saiki's eyes widened at the fact he heard her voice. Aika tucked her in Saiki's chest, her tears being placed on his shirt.

Saiki frowned, his friends shaking cries echoed in his head.

He was so stupid.
How could he not see??
