After school, Aika and Saiki walked out of the school, their walking motions almost in sync.

They thought to each other telepathically, since Aika was mute. She didn't need to be, she chose to be.

Aika saw Saiki looked back quickly, and he grabbed her hand, dragging her along a bit faster.

She looked back, seeing Teruhashi looking at them, so she didn't question him.

Saiki doesn't live far from the school, so it was an easy walk for Aika. She usually had to walk a couple miles to her house, and she couldn't afford even a single train ticket.

Saiki didn't both consulting with his parents, so they walked through the door, and up the stairs.

Saiki locked his bedroom door as Aika set her stuff down on his bed.

'So what are we doin?' She asked.

Saiki shrugged. 'Talk? Homework?'

She looked at him, bringing her face close to his, furrowing her eyebrows, studying him.

Saiki looked at her, confusingly.

'What are you doing..?'
'Are you hiding something?'

Saiki was surprised by her question.

'Why do you ask that?'
'You seem to be knowing something I don't.'

'I know nothing that you don't know.'

She looked at him.
'So you want answers, huh?'

Saiki looked at her.
'What do you mean?'
'Earlier I knew you were disappointed that I didn't tell you why I'm mute, and then you invited me to your house.'

'Guess asking you too soon was obvious. Fine. You caught me. I just care alright? Good grief.'

Aika was taken back as he replied, his tone quite annoyed.

'I-I'm sorry.'

Saiki looked back at her, and sighed.
'Wanna talk?'

Aika just shrugged, plopping down onto his desk chair.
'Sure.'

[Emotional Warning, along with all other warnings]

'I grew up without my mother, she birthed me and then ran away, leaving my dad to take care of me. He was nice to me, until I was old enough to know what he was doing was wrong.'

'What was he doing?'

Aika stood up, gathering her stuff.
'I've already said too much..'
'Just tell me!'

'And what if I don't want to??'
'I'm just here to look out for you! And I can't do that when I don't know what's going on with you!'

Aika huffed, swinging her back on her shoulder, walking away.
'Be fucking patient for once.'

And with that she left.
