Danica

I sat inside my car starring at the Hawkins residence I grew up in. I took a deep breath, A nervousness growing inside me remembering the last time I was here. I remember doing that stupid video with Jonathan and packing my bags leaving. I remembered my mom calling me for the first two weeks of college telling me about how I should talk to the two boys I left behind.

I got out of my car grabbing my bags, leaves crunching under my boots as I walked up to the front door of my mothers house. I placed my hand on the knob only to snatch it away as the door flew open revealing my little brother Dustin. He froze once he realized me, a "holy shit" leaving his lips as he threw himself at me, wrapping his arms around me.

"Never thought I'd see you back here" Dustin mumbled into the hug

"Neither did I" I spoke as we pulled away, I smiled at my kid brother ruffling his hair causing him to slap my hand away as a laugh escaped my mouth.

"Where's mom?"

"Kitchen" He spoke grabbing my bags and following me into the kitchen. My mother hard at work as I watched her move around the kitchen, flour on her apron. She turned around jumping at the sight of me a smile on her face as she open her arms welcoming me in a hug.

"My baby"

"Mommmm" I whined as she squeezed me harder she pulled away cracking a smile, she looked at me up and down taking in how much I've grown since our last holiday spent together

"I hope your using protection out there"

"Mother!" I gasped out as she threw her hands up in defense, "I'm sorry just each time I see you, you grow so beautifully" she spoke I turned to my brother who was holding in laughter.

"I'm gonna go unpack" I spoke running up to my old room, My room was just like how I left it, the walls still grey with drapes and twinkle lights, My patterned pillows still gathered on my bed, My window cracked open bringing back memories of when the new high school bad boy use to sneak in through there. I dropped my bags giving myself a look in the mirror.

My mother was right, I have grown. Twenty Two years of age, My hair no longer past my shoulders but now cut short, my body completely filled in more compared to my teenage body. I sighed as I examined my face, My lips plump and green eyes more vibrant.

My head snapped upward as I heard a knock on my door, Dustin standing at the doorway. "What's going on?" I asked waiting for him to respond, "I'm gonna go meet the boys and i'm sure they would like to see you" He spoke giving me a dimpley smile.

"Ok" I spoke smiling as I followed him downstairs and into my car, driving off to the arcade, just like old times.

Billy

I sighed taking a deep breath as I stood in front of the Hawkins home I grew up in, Bags in hand pushing the door open lightly. I heard Max arguing with my father telling him to "Turn down the damn TV" I smiled hearing her be more out spoken and standing her ground against him, unlike me. I was weak and let him abuse me mentally and physically. I watched as she stormed out the kitchen juice box in hand as she was about to make her way upstairs, her eyes flickered over to me, mouth gaped open.

"Billy" I heard her say before she ran over to me wrapping her small arms around me, "Giving the parents hell I see" I joked as I embraced her

"Someone had too"

"What are you doing here?" We heard pulling apart, coming face to face with my father Neil. I haven't seen him since I left, I watched as he tried to size me up, trying to make me feel small but it wasn't working. To be honest if I wanted to I could take him I smirked shaking those thoughts out my head.

"What are you smirking at!?" He spat anger laced in his words

"Your wife invited me" I spat back remembering when Susan had pleaded for me to come over. I watched as my father turned red

"Billy, how nice of you to make it" I heard Susan say as she walked over with open arms embracing me, "Thanks for having me" I spoke giving her a small smile, "Oh nonsense this is your home" she spoke throwing my father a glare as I heard him mutter under his breath turning his back to us. "How about you go get unpack, go get yourself some food and catch up with some friends. Be back later for dessert. I'm making pie" She spoke giving me a peck on the cheek before heading back into the kitchen.

I walked down the hall towards my room entering it. It was still the same, Just like how I left it. Posters of half naked girls and bands covered my walls and the faint smell of cigarettes and cologne clung onto the room itself.

"Hey let's get out of here" Max spoke as she plopped down on my bed, "I have to head to the arcade to meet the boys, wanna chaperone?" I chuckled at her words. If I was still high school me I would've told her to "Fuck off" but instead I ruffled her hair grabbing my car keys, Max hot on my heels as we jumped into my car.

Their home guyssss!!! I'll try to get the next chapter up fast! School and work are crazy plus I've start going to the gym! Literally so backed up on editing 😩
