Danica

"Wait you kissed him? And than had a date with Billy the next day!" Nancy asked in disbelief, I sat on my bed with my head in my hands, "I can't believe it either"

"Danica what about Billy!" Nancy scolded

"I know Nance thanks for making me feel like a whore" I spoke glaring at her, "I'm sorry, I just thought you weren't gonna end up in the same situation you did four years ago"

"I wasn't planning on it Nance, It just happened" I spoke laying downstairs on my bed, "Maybe I should just head back to New York" I sighed out causing Nancy to stand up abruptly "No you will not, running away from your problems isn't going to fix anything. The longer you kept running away from these boys, the stronger their feelings are gonna get"

"Your right"

"Always am, besides tomorrow is Thanksgiving spend it with your friends and family," Nancy spoke in a comforting manner as she sat down next to me.

"Also right"

"Always am" she joked a smile plastered on her face but it soon faded "Can I ask a question?" Nancy asked a serious tone laced in her voice. I nodded my head saying a "sure"

"Do you have feelings for Steve?" She asked causing me to choke on my own spit, "I care about him, he's my best friend"

"What if he wasn't your best friend" There was a silence that surrounded us. I bit my lip, my chin planted on my wrist. "Let's just drop it" I spoke sitting up, "But" Nancy spoke before I cut her off.

"Seriously Nance, I don't want to talk about this anymore. Besides I have to meet my mom and hopper" I spoke grabbing my car keys going downstairs, "Are they like a thing?" She asked as she followed behind me I giggle "Hope so, my mom needs some action" I spoke both Nancy and me grossed out by that picture.

"I'll see you tomorrow"

"See ya" I spoke getting into my car as we went our separate ways.

Billy

"Billy, can you get the turkey out of the freezer for me?" Susan asked as she frantically moved around the kitchen to prepare for tomorrow. "Sure" I spoke as I went into the freezer for her placing it on top of the counter. "What are your plans for today?"

"Nothing much"

"How about you go see Danica" She spoke giving me a wink. I chuckled "Susan we aren't" I paused making sure my words sounded right "It's complicated" I added earning a nod from her.

"How about you help me get everything ready for tomorrow" Susan suggested

"Alright sure" I spoke going over and grabbing some stuff for her around the kitchen. We both looked up stopping what we were doing when we heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get that" She spoke wiping her hands on a hand towel before heading over to the front.

"Hello, how can I help you?" Susan asked the person I was only able to hear just a bit of the person's voice. It was a soft voice, a female or a small child maybe trying to sell something. "Billy honey, you have a visitor" Susan spoke. I furrowed my brows Susan walking into the kitchen with the person behind her.

"Hey Billy"

I froze as my girlfriend Kasey moved from behind Susan coming into my view. I kept my mouth shut afraid of what I was thinking would slip out of my mouth, I knew my words would come out harsh. "I'll give you two some space" Susan spoke as she left the kitchen probably going to go tend to one of the other things that needed to be done for tomorrow's festivities.

"What are you doing here?" It came out harsher than I intended for it to be. I saw how it hurt her, Like getting stung by a bee.

"We Just haven't spoken much, and I missed you" she spoke softly "Kase" I groaned running a hand over my face, "It's complicated here I told you that" I added watching as she gripped the straps on her bag.

"Billy I understand things with your dad are hard but"- she paused closing her eyes "California was lonely without you" She blurted. I sighed running my fingers through my hair. I pulled her towards me wrapping my arms around her, all the stress, heartbreak, and explaining would have to come later, at the moment my girlfriend needed me.
