Billy
"So how was it seeing Dani" I heard, turning my head to the side to see Max at my door. "Did you know she was back?" I questioned, Max throwing her hands up in defense, "I didn't know she was coming I swear"
I sighed laying down on my bed tossing a ball around. I felt the bed dip down a bit Max climbing in next to me, her legs plastered on my wall as her head hung slightly off my bed her body sprawled out in a upside down position.
"You still love her don't you?"
"No" Lie, That was a bold face lie that came out of my mouth. It was great seeing Danica again, it felt great touching her again and being around her.
There was a knock at the front door assuming Susan was the one to open the door as I heard her voice in conversation with whoever it was.
"Max come to the front!" Susan yelled
I watched as Max got up running over to the front door. I heard a squeal come from her mouth causing me to get up and peak my head through the door watching as Max and Danica Hugged.
"Danica's going to be watching you tonight while Neil and I are out." Susan spoke making my heart rate pick up. I remembered the last time Danica watched Max, I came home late all bruised up from a fight Danica helped clean me up. One thing led to another and our clothes were off.
I looked at her up and dawn watching as her jeans hugged her lower body nicely, and a black long sleeve worn underneath her leather.
"We'll be home late, Moneys on the counter for food" Susan spoke as I watched her and my father walk through the front door, I took a deep breath as I stepped out of my room making my way over to the kitchen.
"Hey Billy" I heard as I came face to face with Danica, I watched as she slipped off her jacket and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.
"Hey Dani" I responded, Max shaking her head as she felt the awkwardness between us taking this moment to back out of the kitchen giving us some space. A long awaited conversation about the past about to be brought up.
"How are you?" I asked watching as she tied her hair up into a ponytail showing more of her beautiful face, "I'm okay"
"Just okay?"
"Yea, What about you?" She asked crossing her arms, something she did when she was about to get defensive.
"I'm okay" I responded
"Just okay?" She questioned back mimicking my question from earlier making me smirk at her. There was a pause between us, a silence that was comforting for us. I watched as she hopped onto the counter and all I wanted to do was go in-between her and hold her.
"So why am I the one watching your sister and not you?" She questioned
"Susan probably thinks I have plans" I spoke leaning on the counter next to her. "And do you?"
"No" I spoke causing a fake gasp to erupt from Danica's mouth, "The Billy Hargrove doesn't have plans! And its a Friday night!" I chuckled watching her joke around, "I'm not the same guy I was in high school"
"Oh really, Why's that" she asked with a smile on her face. "Well I ended up losing this girl that I really liked" I admitted causing her smile to fade. I watched as she begun fumbling with her fingers picking at the black nail polish that covered her nails. "You didn't lose me" She spoke, it was a whisper that could barely be heard but I heard it, "I did" I spoke turning my head to look at her.
I looked into her eyes as she looked into mine. I wanted to lean in too kiss her but decided against it. Her eyes fluttered away from mine now looking ahead. "I'll see you later Danica" I sighed out as I pushed off the counter walking away from her.
I meant to update yesterday but I finally have a break from work so I figured let me just post this chapter. Chapter is short so sorry about that guys!
