Day of Age

When i risked my life

I was going against Leo Carmen, he wasn’t experienced, he was a newbie too.  I knew if I wanted to win, I had to train, I only had two weeks to train. I didn’t know how long Leo was training or is he even was, but I had to tell myself that whenever I think I did enough, I didn’t. I had to keep myself moving, I needed to stay in my zone.

                People may think that it’s not right that a twelve year old girl is pushing herself to do this much! Well, it’s easier when you’re a vampire because you’re fiscally in shape, you can do a lot more in less amount of time, and since you don’t sleep, you have even more time.

                Julia trained with me, she was doing Day of Age too. She was against Marlene Skacasha, a three year vampire like Julia.  Marlene was apparently twenty years old. I’m scared for Julia, she’s only twelve! But she won the last three times already.

                She told me to concentrate on what I want.  She also said if I don’t have a defined six pack at the end of my training I didn’t do as much as I could of.  It was harsh, but it made me push through the sweat and tears. It made me push for my life.

                The first day was brutal. Julia told me to meet her outside at 2:00 am in sports wear. It wasn’t that early for me because I didn’t really do anything during the night.  I really didn’t know exactly what to wear so I glanced outside one of the windows and as I expected Julia was there, early as usual. She was wearing a neon green sports bra,  long  black sweat pants, and tennis shoes.  So I put on a neon pink sports bra, capri sweat pants, and tennis shoes.           

                At 2:00am, I went straight outside to meet Julia. The backyard was an ongoing forest, untouched by harmful natures of man. I was pretty sure that was going to be our gym for the next two weeks.

                Julia smiled at me as I walked out onto the deck.

                “You stole my look!” Julia yelled laughing.

                “Does it matter?” I asked slightly smiling. She thought for a second, then shrugged.

                “You ready to sweat your ass off?” She asked smiling cheesy.

                “As ready as I can be,” I smiled back shrugging.

                “Well let’s begin.”

                So, it began. We started with a six minute run to the end of the forest and back. Then we climbed twenty trees. Then we did fifty push ups.  Then we lifted and threw fifty dead tree trunks.   Then we hunted and killed one hundred  animals found in the forest. Then we did seventy five one handed push ups.  Then we did a thirty minute run from the house to the end of the forest until time was up, then following that an hour of jumping jacks.  We repeat that twenty  times. Since I would burn in the sunlight and Julia wouldn’t, when the sun came up I had to wear a hoodie. I was so hot, I thought I was going to die!

                Finally it was 7:00pm, we got done with the final hour of jumping jacks. I was ready to go back in time to have dinner and drinking time, but Julia stopped me.

                “What are you doing?” I asked more than fatigued beyond help.

                “We aren’t done until we had one on one time,” She said taking off my hoodie. After she pulled it over my head I asked:

                “What’s one on one time?”

                “It’s where you and me fight,” I looked at her a little scared, “ not in the violent way, just the ninja vampire way.”
