We arrived back in London, England. The trip to Belize really opened my eyes to how impactful this monarch really is. England still rules several countries and the people look at us like we're deities.

~A week later~
I was in my room reading letters from the youth center that the kids hand-wrote. Things like this made me feel less lonely since Alexander was doing a solo engagement in South Africa. There was a tap on the door
"Come in" I said
"Hey Zara" Lorraine said as slid into the room
"Hey Lorraine, you look well," I said as I gathered the letters and neatly put them on the dresser. I was glad to see her bubbly again
"I feel well," she said
"How is Louis?"
"He's doing great and making good progress. He should definitely be done rehab before the wedding"
"Thats amazing," I said
"Speaking of before the wedding..." she drifted as she sat on the bed "did you consider having a hen party?"
"Hen party?" I asked
"I think you all call it... a bachelorette party"
"Oh...No I didn't think about. I don't even think I want one"
Lorraine leaped from the bed "What?! You have too!"
"Why?" I asked
"Well first you're marrying a prince, second it would be the grandest hen party of the century and Alexanders having a slag party so, it only seems right"
"Well thats fine...but I don't know anyone here so..."
"Thats why you have me. Oh please Zara, " she begged giving me puppy dog eyes
"Fine" I sighed not wanting this to go any farther
"Wonderful!" she exclaimed throwing her hands up to hug me
We came to a nearby massage parlor to unwind but she was the one stressing me out about this party. I couldn't dislike her for it though, I know she's a real socialite so I'll just let her do it so I can relax in this mud bath.
After we finished, we headed back to Kensington Palace
"Surprise!" the crowd hollered as they threw confetti
I was indeed surprised. I turned to look at Lorraine who was beaming. I searched the crowd and I didn't know any of these women but I did spot two very familiar faces. I ran up and hugged them.
"I missed you guys," I said fighting back tears
"We missed you too bitch! Now let's show London how we get down" Troy said as he began to twerk.
It was honestly very fun. I talked and networked with the guest, drank, danced, drank again, and had a good time. I'm so glad Lorraine decided to throw a party for me.
"Ma'am," Carrie said as she pulled me aside from the madness
"What's up?" I asked slightly intoxicated
"Your father is here," she said and I sobered real quick
"My who? Where?"
"Your father he is being detained by the guards. I thought you should-"
"I want to see him," I said but I don't know if that was the alcohol talking
"I don't think thats a good idea-" Carrie said
"Carrie, I need to see him"
"...This way" she said and I followed her
We went to the security room and I saw him. I saw my dad...I wanted to fall to my knees and start crying but I also wanted to punch him in the face
His eyes lit up when I walked in
"Can you all give us a minute?" I said
"Um, ma'am, I don't think-" Paul started
"Just a minute" I whispered. Everyone reluctantly exited the room just leaving me and my father. He looked the same except for the light salt and pepper that were scattered across his hair and crows feet other then that he hadn't aged a day.
"Hey" he greeted lowly
I was silent still scanning him
"Nice place you have here," he said with an awkward chuckle
"Why are you here?" I whispered
"Because you can't marry him"
"I haven't seen you in 14 years and you're gonna tell me who I can't marry?"
"Have you actually researched the royal family? How they tie back to centuries of enslaving, torturing and selling blacks. They are sacrificing you and you need to leave. All they need is a pretty black girl-"
"Enough! How dare you come here and make accusations about people you don't know. You don't get to come here and act like your protecting me because you aren't. All those conspiracy theories you got, you can throw em out because the only real conspiracy I wanna know is why you walked away from your family"
He looked at me then the ground and didn't say anything.
"I thought so. You need to leave and never come back. I don't ever want to hear from you again-"
"I was young and stupid. I had you, your brother and your mom and I couldn't provide for you, so I took money from my job to pay for rent, food, clothes all your ballet and swim classes, Marvin's basketball camps. Your mom didn't know she thought I just got a promotion until the police came to our house in the middle of the night and I sent to jail for embezzlement. I got sentenced 10 years and I could never face you again so I distanced myself"
Tears began to pour out of my eyes. I didn't know whether to believe him or not
"Where were you when we buried your son?"
"Zara I wanted to be there"
"You weren't there! We needed you."
"I loved Marvin-"
"Just leave...Disappear like you did 14 years ago" I said through my tears
"Zara-"
"Leave and never come back!" I hollered and Paul came to the door and escorted him out
"Ma'am?" Carrie asked
"I just need a minute" I sniffed
I heard the door close and I began to cry.
