Chapter 11: Attack of the dreaded muffins and Cupcakes!

I mounted Blackjack and tore off over Manhattan, not to lie I felt at peace flying over the city with the winds carrying me. Now I knew what it felt like to fly, just like Nemesis, Nike or Psyche. I kept watching over all of the demigods who were hitting the enemy with everything they had, especially the Ares cabin. I found Voltron at the gates of Battery park. Putting everything they had against an Army of Blacks who were armed with rifles, but as always the lions were winning, "Black jack dive!" I commanded, "what? Holy horse Feed!" I immediately reached into my quiver and loaded my bow with Stygian iron arrows. Taking out the first few lines didn't take much effort, but the Lions obviously helped. I didn't see Hunk but Pidge, Lance, Keith and Shiro were holding battery park pretty well, I jumped off my Pegasus and landed right between Keith and Lance, my head was throbbing but I didn't mind, "are you okay?" Keith rushed to help me up, I was shocked to realize that I wasn't injured at all, despite just  leaping from a Pegasus, twenty feet in the air.
Suddenly I heard a voice that I never wanted to hear "Hello Truax... come to help your babies, I see?" I shot up from my kneeling position I saw the crowd at the base of the bridge. The retreating monsters were running straight towards reinforcements. It was a small group, maybe thirty or forty followers. One of them held a purple banner with the golden eye design. The lead horseman trotted forward. And I found myself face to face with the worst monster I had ever seen, on top of a skeleton horse riding into battle leading an Army dressed in hooded robes, was the Leader of the monster army himself: Kronos
I immediately called to my fellow Hunters "pull back!" Thalia gasped, "are you sure?!" She demanded "we're overextended,"
Voltron and the Apollo campers faltered. The monsters we'd been pursuing reached the fronts lines and we were absorbed into a new force. beyonce gazed in our direction. I immediately jumped in front of my Friends. The order threw all the had at me, Knives, daggers, swords and even a flaming spear but they all bounced off me only giving me a few burns. Everyone in Voltron stared a me like I was a giant lobster. "Wow little lady, you seem to have prepared," I winced in pain as I tried to stand but Pidge caught me, "Get lost!" I shouted, "I'm afraid we cannot, the god's have poisoned your mind now they must fall," I grit my teeth as I felt the adrenaline kick back in, Achilles why didn't you talk me out of this! I bit back a curse, knowing language wasn't the best weapon. I knew I was invincible everywhere but the spot behind my right ear, I hoped no one had caught onto said weakness. I thought I was going to puke, I felt awful, like beyond sick, I would've buckled to the ground when I looked up to see flying cornbread muffins head straight for Kronos. The muffins took out the entire first row of Druid looking people, I couldn't tell anything about them, as they wore hooded cloaks that covered their eyes, but the muffins kept flying, and not even a second later I saw flying bagels hitting everything in their path, projectile bagels? I thought this had to be the Demeter cabin, but then I realized they were all the way on the other side of the island, I was bewildered until I heard a loud "woof!" I turned on my heel to see the four best people we could have In this moment. Piper McLean stood at attention, her dagger in her right hand and her left planted on the cornucopia she kept at her belt, next to her was Mrs O'Leary my favorite hellhound. And Hunk holding arms full of donuts and cupcakes. "Charge!" Piper yelled, few things are stranger than a cupcake assault. Hunk threw donuts and cupcakes like his life depended on her confections, Piper threw corn cobs, I felt relived to have my best friends in my side "ready your bows!" Shouted a voice above me, I looked straight up to find over a hundred of the Hunters of Artemis standing in the top of the tallest buildings, "Fire!" Thalia shouted. The Hunters let their arrows fly taking out every single soldier left on the enemy side "Bravely fought Piper McClean, but it's time you surrender or your puppy gets it," Everyone retreated while Hunk picked me up and Piper shook hands with Voltron. "Where'd you get so many cupcakes!" I demanded, Hunk blushed slightly "Sprinkles bakery," he stated "You looted a bakery in the middle of a war?!" I shouted in disbelief, "Hunk shrugged," "you're injured we better get you back to headquarters, we all hopped on Blackjack and set a course for wherever headquarters was.
