Cris takes my hand in his and begins to walk with me, following Tim, he gives a little squeeze on my hand, and stops, "We don't have to go with him you know, we could go get some pie, again, if that's what you want." Cris has a shy smile and is blushing again, was he scared of the ditch? Was he afraid that they would embarrass him? Instead of telling him that I wanted to still go to the ditch, I let go of his hand, and seeing that he looked sad, he obviously didn't know what I was about to do. I smiled at him for a split moment, and then, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him oh so deeply, all in one movement. At first, he seemed surprised, but as soon as that left him, he kissed me back, and pulled my hips closer to him. Oh how good his lips felt on mine. I could have stayed like this forever, if it weren't for some dimwit.
"Hey whats taking y'all so-, oh I see, Cris needed a second kiss already!" This guy yells, while walking back towards us, he's from group, I know that, but I don't know his name. "Way to ruin the moment, uh, whats your name again?" Yeah I sound so scary. "Jay is the name, compulsive liar is my game!" This guy, Jay starts dancing around and skips back down the trail. And again Cris and I are hand in hand, following this lunatic, no sorry correction, this compulsive liar, any way, the view here is actually nicem were on a concrete bridge now, and I see below, a dried river bed, trees everywhere, I can see huge rocks, not many though, "Alright kissy faces time to jump!" Tim yells to us, Cris squeezes my hand once more and lets to, walks to the edge and jumps.
I stand there, everyone else has jumped but me, I don't really do heights, its not my thing, "Come on babe, I will catch you!" Cris soothing calls to me. Okay, I can do this, I walk over to the edge, and hop onto the little ridge, 3,2,1, and I jump, moments later I feel, not two, but four, arms around me, I open my eyes to see Tim and Cris have both caught me, in a cradle like pocket, damn, I was sure I was going to die. Slowly they let me down, and I reach over and hug Cris, a huge hug, and then I forced my lips onto his, in front of all of them, Tim, Jay, Lace, and that other chick, Crissy I think her name is.
After a good long while of kissing, Cris finally broke away for air and told me, "As much as I hate to stop kissing you, we aren't even at the ditch yet." Sad puppy eyes he gave me, and I kissed his nose, he put his arm around my waist and led me along the river bed.
I walked along the dry river bed, my eyes wondering everywhere, green and brown, everywhere, the most bland colors, yet so exciting. There is us, the middle of the scene, to the right, a slant hill, going up, then evening out, off into the horizon of it all are little houses, to the left, trees, with vines wrapping up around them, in spiral, thorns and vines linger the ground, like snakes, and leaves fall from the trees, the flow above us, the float down on us. The sun finds it way in between the trees, just at the perfect spot to shine on us, like a spot light.
We come to a stop, and I see ahead of me, and everyone else, there is a huge ditch, big enough to be a pond, if there were water there, I see now why they call it the ditch. Tim and Jay help the other two girls down into the hole, and Cris smiles at me, as if to say, "here we go again." He leads me to the edge, where it begins to dip, he tilts his body down, and begins to slide down, its just like boarding, I can do this, and so I follow. I "skate" my way down to the bottom, not once fumbling for balance, "Looks like we have a pro here." Jay mocks me. A faint smile and blush from my face earns myself a kiss from Cris. "Now that's a way to begin celebrating!" Tim begins to root for us, "Cris and Bry sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Everyone now is singing, "First comes love, then come marriage!" they sing, and Cris starts to laugh, and soon enough were all laughing, I'm on the ground, almost rolling, I think Crissy is the only one who is still standing, and she isnt laughing either, what a party pooper.
