"All back here by 5:00 pm!" Both teachers said to everyone
We all nodded before heading off. We've been in Spain for 2 days now so not long! Everyone stays as a group in the morning for some sort of tour or Spanish class at a local trip and then in the afternoon we get to wander around the city in our groups.
CR and Chloe were sharing a room which made them both happy and then I was with Jesse and Hunter. It wasn't meant to be me but Kyle didn't want to go with them since he wanted to be in the same room as his friends. Worked out for me though since I was comfortable with staying with Jesse and Hunter.
The 5 of us stayed as one group for trips though since we were able to pick who we went around with.
"Can we get food? I am starving!" I groaned
"Agreed. I woke up late so I only managed to have one piece of toast" Hunter sighed
We tried getting him up but nothing.
*5 Days Later*
"Final day, back to America tonight" Jesse huffed
"Don't even remind me" Chloe sighed
This last week she has come out of her shell a lot. She joins in with us when we have banter. I Iike this new Chloe!
As we were heading to a fountain to meet with the group, the wind started picking up. Thankfully I had my Gucci hoodie on. Everyone but Chloe had bought a jumper so I knew it was a matter of time before she complained she was cold.
"Why does the wind decide to pick up now?!" She groaned
"I bought a spare jumper with me if you want to borrow it?" I asked
"No, it's fine!" She smiled
Just as she said it, it got windier. I laughed and she groaned, asking for my spare hoodie. I knew someone would complain so I bought it along.
"Bec, it is a Gucci hoodie! It's too expensive" She told me, handing it back
"It doesn't matter, I have like 5 more. Just put it on, your cold" I laughed and she agreed
When we had got to the meeting point we all just began talking until everyone else had got here. I didn't want to leave but I was excited to sleep in my own but and to see Jace, Ruby and my mum. I wasn't close with my dad like Mason was.
"Like Chloe would ever be able to afford Gucci, she couldn't even afford cooking ingredients for class last month"
That is what our group heard from Maddie. She was the schools biggest bitch, no one liked her and that was why. She had something to say about everyone but me. Only because she knew my family could probably make her bankrupt in 20 seconds.
"Don't listen to her Chloe" Hunter said softly
"Oh look who piped up. The guy who couldn't make any friends in gym class" Her friend, Jane laughed
"The poor girl and the loner" Maddie smirked
"Alright. Shut the fuck up Maddie. You treat everyone in this school like shit and for what reason? You don't have any friends to talk to or meet with? Stop judging everyone on how they are, Hunter has more friends than you will ever have! Chloe is grateful for everything she has and so what she doesn't have as much money as some of us here? Her family works hard to provide and they are doing a fucking good job of it. I let her wear my jumper because it's cold. That is what a decent human being does. That is what a good friend does! Just because your life is shit, doesn't mean you have to make everyone else's that way too. Now do us a favour and leave us all alone because no one finds you funny" I spat, turning around to face her
She didn't say anything, she just stared at me. No one knew what to say.
"You bitch" Jane spoke up
"Woah, pipe down. I was just saying what everyone else was thinking. You are such a sheep when it comes to this bully. Don't be like her!" I said
"She is my friend"
"No, she isn't. I've seen how she treats you! This isn't some shitty movie where the mean girl has that one fake friend. It's real life so just stop being her slave and get yourself some new friends who actually care about you because Maddie does not. She speaks to you like shit at school and you just stand there and apologize for it. Don't take that" I told her
"I've never said anything to you Beca! Why are you being a grade A bitch!" Maddie shouted, standing up
"Uh oh" Jesse said, knowing she annoyed me
Jesse knew me too well.
"Really? I am not the bitch here. You may not have said anything to me but you have to all my friends which does not go down well with me. I care about my friends so when some cheap slag comes at them, I am going to stick up for them" I told her
"Oh damn!" I heard some guy laugh
Of course, Maddie got embarrassed about it all.
"You whore" She screamed, going to slap me
Really? Is that a good idea? Before she actually hit me, I grabbed her arm and pushed her away. What I didn't know is that the fountain was behind her. My bad?
"Bec, come on" Chloe laughed, pulling my arm
"Everyone back to the hotel!" Our teachers shouted as Maddie stormed back
"Thank you for sticking up for us both. I knew she would say something about the jumper but I didn't think you'd stick up for me, so thanks. It means a lot" Chloe smiled
"It's fine! I wasn't going to let her be a bitch to you. It's just a jumper and she had no right to comment on it anyway. I always stick up for the people I care about"
"You care about me?" She asked
"Of course!"
She smiled, giving me hug and a kiss on the cheek. What is this girl doing to me! The whole way back to the hotel, Chloe and I spoke about meeting up in the week. We were becoming really close friends, well I would say best friends.
