"Alright Unai, we're inside what exactly should we do?" I question him.
"Well, your first move should be to take over the command center, then send a team to the bridge to shut down all other systems. We're jamming all transmissions up here so they can't call for reinforcements or alert Zafarian HQ." He says. I nodded at the team and we headed down the hallway that lead to the command center. This layout was exactly like other Zafarian facilities we've been in. You'd think it'd be more elegant and unique since it's a special palace. Quace formed his bayard and busted through the door with his Altean battle axe.
I sliced through two guards standing at the door. Aurora and Brisia shot the Zafarian soldiers in the room, working on the control consoles. We walked over to the main console in the center of the room. "I'll download the virus I prepared into the palace's systems." Harper tells us as she sits in the captain's chair and began the download.
"You made a virus?" Brisia questioned.
"Yeah, what better way to shut down a palace's systems other than a virus. If I didn't make a virus," she trailed off, studying the console screen. "Then the back-up power generator would kick in and reactivate the camera systems, the lights, everything. But the virus I made won't target air conditioning, because it'll get stuffy in here," I thought on that and nodded. Quace and Brisia laughed a little. "What? It's a good idea."
"Renn, look out!" Aurora yells running towards me. Before I could react I was shot in the arm from behind. Aurora quickly shot the soldier with her bow. "Renn, are you alright?"
I grunted and turned to her. "Yeah, yeah, I'll be fine," I said with a pause. The room was silent and everyone stared at me. "Harper, the virus."
"Oh! Oh, yeah, I'm getting to it," She says turning back to the console and typing more. Aurora and Brisia came to me and examined my arm. "Done!" Harper got up from the chair. We began to walk out of the control room. Harper held on to my unhurt arm and walked me out. Suddenly, I was kicked in the head, falling to the ground with Harper under me. Harper wrapped her arms around me and formed her staff, blocking the blade that was swiping down to kill me. Aurora stunned them with a shock arrow.
"You have different types of arrows?" Quace shouts. Aurora nodded with a smirk and helped Harper and me up. Quace and Brisia flipped over the attacker to find out that it was Kassaj. The ringing of a dagger flying through the air hit my ears. I ducked and a knife hit the wall behind me. Before us stood Haro, Nafre, and Erza, armored up and ready to fight. Nafre disappeared and we charged them. Haro pulled out dual swords mounted across his lower back and headed for me. I formed my whip and ran towards him. He swung at my head but I slid between his legs and to the other side, flinging my whip backwards, cutting his back. It was plasma so it burned him, probably hurting him more.
He grumbled and turned back to me. Nafre appeared in front of me, smacked me and kicked me in the gut. I fell to ground holding my stomach. He punched me right wear that soldier shot me earlier. I cried out in pain. Harper hit Nafre with her staff and he fell to the ground. She swung down but he slid backward and disappeared. "You alright?" She asks helping me to my feet.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I say with a slight grunt. "We need to get to the main deck of the station."
Harper looked at the fight going on. Aurora fighting Nafre and Haro, Brisia, and Quace fighting Erza and Kassaj was just waking up. "You need to come with me and sit down somewhere in the main deck."
"Renn! I think we need to retreat!" Brisia shouts over the coms. I looked to her and Quace now fighting Kassaj and Erza.
"We need to get to the main deck anyway, follow Harper and me!" I ordered. Aurora stunned Nafre and ran towards us. Brisia fired shots at them as we exited the room.
