Proposal

A little robot beeped and whirred as it rolled across the floor and bumped into Ned's feet. He put his controller down and looked at the little robot which whirred and backed up before bumping into him again.

"Hey little guy. What do you want?" He asked it, and it beeped at him before turning and rolling towards the stairs which led down into the basement of his and Peter's house. He normally didn't go downstairs, but the robot seemed pretty adamant.

"Okay buddy, I'll follow you. What's so interesting that you wanna show me?" Ned talked to the robot as if it were an AI and by the way it acted, it probably was. It was a new robot that he had never seen before, which was weird because he and Peter usually built all their bots together.

The little robot wobbled on the edge of the stairs and fell all the way down every step, part of its little arm breaking off when it hit the floor at the bottom. Ned went down the stairs, ready to help it back up and see if it still worked but the robot managed to get back onto it's wheels, picking up the broken piece and putting it back on easily. That was cool. The robot turned to look at Ned to make sure he was still following before beeping happily and rolling in the direction of Peter's secret room.

The robot rolled up to the wall and beeped to the start of 'Come along with me' from Adventure Time. The large bricks on the wall shifted and opened a large door. The room was completely dark and the robot rolled into the darkness.

Ned followed it and got a bit further into the room when the robot beeped a happy tune and the lights clicked on, revealing Peter on one knee holding out a little blue box with a ring in it. The ring was gold and had a small red gem in it. Ned grinned.

"Ned Leeds, will you marry me?" Peter asked, and Ned grinned even wider, tackling him into a hug. Good thing the floor was carpeted because Ned knocked Peter onto his back, practically laying on top of him and hugging him tightly.. Peter laughed and put the box down, wrapping his arms around Ned. They laid like that for a while, both of them smiling.

"Y'know, you didn't say yes yet." Peter mumbled eventually, and Ned laughed.

"Yes, you dork. Of course I'll marry you." He replied, and Peter grabbed the ring box. He grabbed Ned's hand and put the perfectly-sized ring on his ring finger, smiling. Ned sat up so he could look at the ring better, smiling softly. Peter put his hand next to Ned's, showing a similar ring, except his had a blue gem in it.

"Ruby and Sapphire." Ned realized, grinning even wider. Peter nodded.

"I was thinking that our wedding rings could have garnets in them, 'cause Garnet is relationship goals, honestly." Peter laughed a bit, and Ned agreed with that idea.

"Only you would be extra enough to get yourself a ring too." Ned teased, and Peter fake-pouted.

"At least I'm not a nerd." He teased back, and Ned faked offense.

"Well at least I'm not a dork!" He replied.

"Nerd!"

"Dork!"

"Yeah, but I'm your dork."

"You are, and I love you."
