[A/N: infinity war spoilers, boy oh boy this is not good]
Peter and Ned were sitting on Ned's couch, playing Detroit Become Human when Peter's spidey sense started to tingle. He froze for a second.
"What's wrong?" Ned asked, a bit worried.
"I-It's probably nothing, my spidey sense is going off but it might just be a moth nearby or something." Peter brushed it off as something simple even though he knew it wasn't simple, this felt different than usual.
"Okay, babe. But tell me if it gets worse or something, I-I would help make you feel safer so it would stop being all spidey sense-y." Ned went back to the game, glancing at Peter occasionally. They played in silence for a bit until Peter broke the silence by standing up and looking around panickedly. Ned paused the game and stared at him.
"I-I don't know what's happening! My spidey sense, it- it hurts, why does it hurt?" Peter yelled, starting to cry. He wobbled on his feet and Ned stood up just in time to catch him, tears burning in his own eyes.
"You're fine. You're fine, just- maybe it's a glitch in your spidey sense!" Ned tried to think of a reason why this would be happening, lowering Peter onto the floor and holding him carefully, supporting his head. Peter was looking around wildly, clinging to Ned's shirt.
"I-I don't- I'm dying, I-I don't wanna go, please!" Peter sobbed, his clinging to Ned's shirt getting weaker. Tears streamed down Ned's face and fell without him having to blink.
"No, no, you're fine! You're gonna be okay, you're gonna be okay." Ned sobbed, hugging Peter as tight as he could as if that would save him.
"I-I love you, I'm so sorry..." Peter whispered, and Ned watched in horror as Peter turned to dust in his arms. He stared at his dust-coated hands, unable to move.
"Peter, no..." He managed to say, hoping this was a dream. A horrible, horrible dream. He hoped he would wake up in bed, Peter curled up next to him and both of them happy and safe and not piles of dust.
However, this wasn't a dream.
But reality had just become a nightmare.
