[A/N: I started watching The 100 so there might be a couple oneshots based off of it lol]
Peter sat on a rock up high where not many people could climb, staring at one of the deer in the forest far below him. The deer had two heads and glowed slightly, but considering the entire earth was a bit irradiated that wasn't surprising.
"Peter! Peter, c'mon, it's our watch shift!" Peter's best friend and main source of comfort here, Ned, yelled to him from the ground. Peter smiled and climbed down the rock, his steps as cheerful and bouncy as they could be when everyone was stuck in such a horrible situation. Being one of a hundred youth delinquents sent to Earth in a ship that broke on impact was not a good thing, but he had learned to deal with it after a week because if not, he would probably die from the stupid mutated wildlife or get murdered by the 93 other delinquents here. There would be more, but something killed a few.
"Oh boy, ready to sit outside in the dark for a few hours watching for whatever's killing people?" Peter joked, getting a laugh in return. They went to the lookout spot which was actually just a small ledge overlooking the rest of the forest which was just 10 feet below them. They sat on the edge and stared into the dark, a glowing butterfly fluttering by. They didn't chase it but only because they had seen one before.
"So, how's life? You got assigned to a job building. Sounds fun." Peter tried to start a conversation, though there wasn't many fun topics. Ned laughed a bit even though nobody said anything funny. Somebody yelled in the background, which was normal.
"It's not that fun. But I guess it's better than carrying stuff for everyone." Ned sighed. He wanted literally any other task to do all day every day.
"Dude, I have super strength. Carrying stuff is the perfect job for me." Peter reminded.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. My job still sucks." And then the debate was over and they were silent again. Ned looked at Peter and just thought about how good of an opportunity to tell him his true feelings this would be.
"Peter?" He said after a long silence.
"Yeah?"
"I-I really like you. Like, in a romantic way." He managed to say, smiling awkwardly. Peter blinked at him for a few seconds.
"So, do you like me back?" Ned asked, starting to feel rejected already. Peter, much to his surprise, pulled him into a kiss.
"Does that answer your question?" He smirked, and Ned couldn't help but grin.
