Chapter 8

Jack's POV
I was playing fortnite with Zach when all of a sudden, Corbyn grabbed the remote and changed the tv. "Hey!" Zach and I shouted at him in unison.

My eyes widened when I saw Corbyn pale, and shaking and when I heard Christina sobbing from the phone he was holding.

"Corbyn what's up?" Zach asked

His answer was replied when he changed the TV channel to the news.

"Good evening citizens of Los Angeles, today we have a report on a car crush near the Broadway"

My eyes widened and stared at the TV

"There was 3 injured people in both car. 1 car had a woman, another had a couple"

I started shaking when I saw the car. It was Brooke's.

"We have just found out the Identity of the 3 people"

"Evelyn Ashton"

"Cyril Stewart"

"And Brooke Laurence Fleming"

My jaws dropped, and I started shaking. I heard Christina burst into tears. "WHAT?" Zach screamed jumping off the couch.

Then suddenly the door opened. Our heads turned to the direction and saw Ryan soaked wet. It was raining out. "Corbyn" he simply said. His eyes was puffy and red. Corbyn simply nodded ending the call after saying bye to Christina.

Corbyn took his coat and keys and run out before stopping and turned to me. "Jack come with us" he said. I jumped off the car and took my vans slippers.

"Zach tell the others and follow us" Corbyn instructed.

I ran out the door and went into the smaller car. I sat at the back as Ryan sat on the passenger seat and Corbyn on the driver's seat. Corbyn gave Ryan a towel before heading to the hospital.

The whole ride was quiet and the atmosphere was very heavy. Ryan was sobbing and I often see Corbyn wiping a tear, while I didnt even bother to wipe my tears.

Once we arrive, I saw 2 different parents. Probably the couple's parents.

"Ma'am, sir just relax, your son and daughter are in the emergency room" the woman behind the counter said then suddenly a man banged his fist on the counter. "How can I relax when my daughter is dying?!!" He shouted.

The woman behind the counter shook staring at the man in fear. "Sir dont worry, she doesnt have any major injuries" she stuttered trying to calm the man down.

The man muttered something clutching onto his head while his wife tried to calm him down even when she's also crying. The man turned to the other man and stomped to him.

The difference with the 2 family is the girl's parents wore suites while the guy's parents wore normal clothes. Probably rich and poor. "YOU!" He shouted louder.

The guy's parents backed away in fear. "BECAUSR OF YOUR NO GOOD SON, MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE IS IN DANGER" He exploded.

Suddenly Ryan and Corbyn started to pull me and went to the other woman behind another counter. "Name" the woman said rather slowly. "BROOKE LAURENCE FLEMING" We all said in unison.

The woman typed the computer very slowly. "Room 380" she spoke. Without thank you's we ran to the elevator and clicked on the button.

When we arrived, we rushed to the room 380 and when we did, we found Brooke on the bed sleeping with tubes on her mouth. Not only that Christina and another couple was standing there wearing suits and all

"Mom! Dad!" Ryan said devastated. He ran to them and hugged them. Unlike what I expected, they seemed more warmer than what I expect people with suits to be cold and awful.

(A/N:So I dont remember about their parents so if I did then ignore that and pretend that Ryan and Brooke left the rich house to be a youtuber)

"Oh Ryan My baby I missed you" the woman spoke.

"Son how are you" the guy said who looked a lot like Ryan but with beard and a hair with gel. "Im good dad" he said.

Ryan turned to Brooke and ran up to him hugging her carefully as he continued sobbing.

I didnt even notice I was the only one standing by the door. Corbyn was already with Christina hugging trying to comfort her.

"You must be Jack then?" The woman said to me. Suddenly I got nevous.

What if they will punish me for breaking their daughter's heart? What if they will pay murderers to kill me oh no.

"Oh son dont look afraid I dont care about who my daughter dated and who broke heart" the father said.

"Its part of life you know? If no one would break her heart, she wont be mature and will never know how to move on" he explained.

Wow

"My name is Dalton Fleming" he said straightening his suit before handing his hand to me to shake it. I nervously shook it.

"Im Eve Fleming" the woman said smiling. I expect her to hand shake with me but she just hugged me. It was unexpected.

"Thank you for loving my daughter" she whispered which made me confused. "Oh I know that look sir you're still in love with her" she smirked and winked before walking back to her husband.

"Ryan stop hugging your sister" Eve said. Ryan obeyed her and stood away wiping his tears.

Everything was so quiet. Only the beping of the machine was heard and thats it. I stared at Brooke and admired her.

She's so beautiful in everyway.

When she wakes up I want to confess to her again and tell her how i feel. I want to live with her forever.

I have decided. I want to be with her. I want to be her boyfriend. I want to be her husband. I want to be her forever.
