Gaia's pov

"Are you ready?" Remington asked me as he opened my bedroom door. Today was the day I am meeting my mother to know the truth. "Yeah, lets go." I grabbed my bag and walked out the front door. I was nervous. She gave me away, what if she hates me.

The car ride was long. I didn't realise how far away we actually are from my old house. I'm currently parked on the side of the house building up the courage to go. "Hey I'm right here, you got this." Remington said grabbing my small hand and giving it a light squeeze. "Ok" I got out of the car Remington did so as well. Slowly I crept up to the door and took in a big breathe before knocking on the door. "You can do it I'm right here with you." Remington smiled. Okay I can't do this. *knock,knock,knock* the sound ring through my head. Was this really a good idea... "Gaia?" The familiar voice I missed. "Hi mom." I said with a smile. I could never stay mad at my mom. Yes she gave me away but probably had a good reason. "Uh come in I guess." She said shuffling aside to let me and Remington in. *stay calm* Remington's voice flew through my head. I smiled. "Take a seat." My mom said gesturing to a couch I've never seen before she must have just bought it. I nodded sitting down Remington sitting beside me. My mom sat across from the both of us in the old love seat. "So why are you here?" She said fiddling with her finger. "Well I know your secret you kept from me and I want to know the truth." I said strongly. She sighed. "Ok. But who is this." She said sceptical of rem. "Oh this is my boyfriend Remington. Uhm he's a vampire, as well as I am one now too..." "I know he's a vampire I'm not a newb. And I can tell you are too." She said with a smile. "Oh well that's not exactly why we are here." I said re gaining my composure. "Then why are you here?" "We are under attack by the slevelle council. We need your help. You have connections with some of the most powerful witches. As a pure blood I ask you a Royale blood for help." Remington pleaded. "They finally attack huh. Well that's a shame. I'm sorry I can't help you. All my connections have been tied off, once I sold Gaia." "What?" I asked a little hurt and confused. "Well the deal with the witches were once I sell you they give me a spell where my vampirness is hidden but I only have 5 years left in my life. They wanted me to slowly die and go out peacefully and give me a little more time to finish me off. And I don't have to protect you anymore so I have no responsibility anymore. Sorry Gaia but you're not my problem." She smirked. "Y-you bitch! Go fuck yourself mom! You're a selfish bitch, I'm your daughter your flesh and blood, doesn't that mean anything to you!" I scream tears running down my pale cold skin. How can she be so cold to her own daughter. "Don't talk to me like that you little brat! Get out!" She screamed pointing to the door. "Gladly!" I screamed back walking to the door and flipping her off. I speeded off leaving Remington at my moms house.

I kept running. Nothing stoping me. I am free, fuck everyone, I don't need anyone!
