'Oh! Uh hi Lucas.' I said
'Uhh Ari, are you sure your okay? You're acting kinda weird...'
Great. Now he thinks I'm weird.
'Uhhhh...No! I'm totally not insane I mean like I'm totally okay im totally sane I mean what? Me? CRAZY?? That totally can't be possible..yeah totally not possible!'
I just realised how many "totally's" I had used.
Bloody hell!
Now he thinks I'm totally mental!
Shoot! I meant kinda mental! God dangit!
'Uhhhh ...okay then...if you say so...'
BLOODY HELL!
At that moment Emily started to scream and cry. Shoot! I had forgotten all about her!
Desperately trying to change the subject, I asked Lucas to please let us in. Because Emily was crying.
Obviously Emily cried at the right time. Now Lucas and I had something to talk about other than the fact that I may or may not be insane.
After a while, Lucas and I managed to put Emily to sleep. I made sure to keep an eye on her. Considering what had happened at the house a while ago.
'God. Kids are so stressful.' I muttered to myself
'Yeah. They are pretty stressful.' Lucas replied
'Maybe someday we'll have kids.' I said without thinking.
Shoot! I screwed up!
Damn you stupid mouth!
'Uh...yeah...someday..' he said
'ANYHOO! UH...LETS GO WATCH SOME NETFLIX.' I said trying to change the subject once more.
Holy cow that night was awkward!
The fact that I could hear scraping and scratching outside didn't help either.
I mean we just sat there. Watching American Horror Stories in silence.
The only sound was the occasional crunch when either Lucas or me chewed popcorn, Emily's snores and the scratching outside.
