Maddy turned her car down her friend David's street.
"Holy shit" she said aloud to herself, commenting on the sheer amount of cars along the road.
As she drove past in an attempt to find a spot, David himself walked outside swinging his keys. She stopped the car.
"Going somewhere?" She called through her window.
"Yeah this party sucks, i'm ditching" he laughed, walking towards her.
"Need a ride?" She asked, as David reached her car, leaning into her passenger side window with his arms crossed.
"There's no way in hell we're gonna have enough beer" he said, opening the door.
"Liquor store it is" Maddy said, putting the car in drive. "I can see why you need more" she said, motioning with one hand to the road.
"No, the fucked up thing is that the neighbors are having a christening party that's just going really late."
"Oh yeah?" She asked, opening her spotify app at the stop sign at the end of David's street.
"Let me DJ"
"Alright chief"
Maddy handed the aux cord over to David. After some typing, he settled on God's Plan by Drake.
"Nice one" Maddy commented. "I wonder what frat you would be in if you weren't a fellow college dropout"
"I've never driven with you"
"What are you talking about? I feel like we're always in a car together"
"I mean, i've never been in a car where you drove"
"Seriously?"
"Yeah, I didn't even think about it until I realized I didn't recognize the inside of this car at all" He said as Maddy pulled into the liquor store parking lot. "Kind of like uber"
"Are you gonna rate me five stars?" She laughed, as David got out of the car.
"I might even tip you" He said, closing the door and entering the store.
Maddy and David had met a few years prior as both of them had gained a decent following from vine, followed by successful vlog channels. David's surpassed Maddy's quickly, but sitting in at about 4.3 million, Maddy wasn't doing too poorly herself.
The sound of a facetime call came through Maddy's speakers. Maddy looked down at her phone and was confused for a second before realizing that David's phone was still plugged in. Liza was calling. Maddy answered.
"David, you look so different" Liza joked.
Maddy laughed.
"I found him outside and drove him to the liquor store" Maddy explained. "He's inside now"
"Damn it" Liza said.
"Why, what's up?"
"I was gonna ask him to get some Angry Orchard rosé"
"I got you, don't worry" Maddy said, turning her car off and taking David's phone with her.
"Maddy, what would I do without you?"
"Be sober, apparently" She said, walking inside. "I'll see you in a few"
"Thank you so much!!" Liza said, ending the call.
Maddy walked back to the beer case, where David was examining the cooler.
"Can I see an ID?"
David turned around.
