Jimmy sat on the couch completely alone. Emily's parents were at work, and Emily and her sister were at school. He let out a deep sigh, and slumped deep into the couch cushions. He looked around the living room, and looked at all of the loneliness. All of the sudden, the home phone rang. Jimmy moaned as he got up and grabbed the phone.
"Hello?"
"Hello, this is the High School, and we're calling about Emily. She's having a severe anxiety attack, and she's locked herself in the bathroom, and she has a blade with her."
"WHAT?!"
"Can you please come down?"
"I'm on my way." Jimmy hung up quickly, and jumped in Emily's truck, and sped down to the school.
Jimmy slammed on the brakes in the parking lot, and ripped open the truck doors, and sprinted down to the school doors. He frantically pressed the visitor bell, and the door clicked. The principal and a police officer met him in the main lobby.
"Where is she?!" Jimmy asked in a panic. The principal ushered Jimmy down the hall.
"We're currently in a lock down because of Emily, for her safety and others." the principal said while rushing down a science hallway. At the end of the hallway were a boy's and girl's bathroom, and Jimmy heard sobs coming from the girl's restroom. Jimmy stepped forward and knocked on the door.
"Emily.."
"J-Ji-Jimmy?" Emily asked through sobs. Jimmy faintly smiled.
"Yeah, it's me love, can you please unlock the door?" Jimmy asked. Emily burst into sobs.
"The door isn't locked!" she screamed. Jimmy stepped back and looked at the bottom of the door. He couldn't see the light from the bathroom, something was blocking it. Jimmy's heart dropped when he realized what was blocking the door. Jimmy spun to the police officer.
"Call an ambulance, now!" The officer stepped back in shock at Jimmy's tone of voice.
"Why?"
"THAT'S HER BODY LAYING IN THE DOORWAY! GO CALL A FUCKING AMBULANCE!!" The officer obliged and quickly called an ambulance.
"Emily, Emily love I'm going to open the door." Jimmy said gently, there was no response. Jimmy turned the handle, and pushed, her body sliding against the cold tiles of the bathroom. Jimmy instantly started to sob when he saw her.
She held a pencil sharpened blade in her hand while her body shook. Blood dripped down her thighs and legs that led to a puddle of blood on the floor. Her empty eyes looked up at Jimmy.
Minutes later, a team of paramedics rushed in with a stretcher. They loaded her up, and ran her down the hall to the ambulance. Jimmy ran alongside her, and held her cold hand the whole way.
"It's okay Emily, it's okay love."
