Emily turned to her side on her bed, her spine cracking as she did so. She stretched out her legs, and her arms, having the cool air hit her bare skin. She let out a soft groan as her eyes fluttered open from the morning sun, glimmering through her curtains. Through her now messy auburn hair, she looked and saw Jimmy.
He had his arm cocked to the side of his pillow, his hand drooping lazily. His jet black hair, was in wild snarls and vicious waves. His porcelain lips were slightly agape, with a small stream of drool hanging out of the corner of his lip. Emily lightly giggled to herself.
She dragged her thin fingers through the jungle of hair that was laying across her forehead, and leaned down to gently place a tender kiss on Jimmy's forehead. She sat there with her lips pressed on his forehead, enjoying the warmth between the flesh of both of them. Her lips left his skin with a small pop, and she began to crawl out of the warm bed.
The floorboards beneath Emily's bare feet creaked as she daintily walked downstairs. Still half asleep, her hands fumbled with the cupboard, trying to open it as quietly as possible, not to wake Jimmy from his slumber. With a small click, the cupboard door opened.
Emily's ocean colored eyes scanned the various medicine bottles, and grabbed all of her meds.
As she filled a glass up with water from the tap, the cold water chilled her finger tips, and made her shudder.
She shook the viles to get the numerous pills, and popped each one into her warm mouth. With a swish of water, she felt all of the pills rattle down her throat. She closed her eyes and looked back at her mistakes.

The cutting, the starvation, the suicide attempts

A single tear rolled down her pale cheek, warm and salty as it ran down into her lips. She looked down at her frail arms, and looked at the stitches, the bandages, and the scars. Rage built up inside of her, and hot tears welled up in her eyes, causing them to flood from all of the pain that she put her family and her loved ones through. Emily threw her hands onto her head, and her fingers tightly grasped tufts of her copper hair, and she began to pull as hard as she could.
"Good morning love." Jimmy said quietly, and half asleep still. Emily snapped out of her stance and smiled as she saw Jimmys figure in the doorway. Her hands removed themselves from her mane, and the tears receded back. She found herself smiling instead.
"Good morning Jimmurs." She said as she walked towards him. She then threw her arms around his small waist, catching him off guard. Jimmy let out a small yelp, but then giggled afterwards, and returned the embrace. His calloused hand rubbed up and down her fragile spine, being able to feel almost every vertebrae. Emily nuzzled into his warm chest before she spoke.
"How did you sleep,love?"
Jimmy yawned as he spoke.
"Pretty good, didn't realize I bloody drooled though." They both giggled. Emily detached herself from the rock god, and leaned against a wall instead.
"You hungry?" She asked while rubbing her eyes. Jimmy nodded. They both looked around their kitchen.
"Pancakes?" Emily suggested. Jimmy smiled and gave her a thumbs up.

The couple stood in the kitchen. Jimmy warmed up the stove and the pan, while Emily stirred up the pancake batter in a glass bowl. The sound of her spoon hitting the side of the bowl made a faint bell noise.
"Stove is ready whenever you are lovely." Jimmy said while kissing the back of Emily's neck.
Emily shuddered underneath his gentle lips. She walked over to the stove pan, with her bowl full of batter, and began to pour.
Sizzles filled the room, and the air became heavy with the intoxicating scent of pancakes.
"How big do you want your pancake Jimmy?"
"Umm, not too big, not too small. You know, the size, in between the two?"
Emily chuckled, "Do you mean medium?"
Jimmy slightly blushed in embarrassment.
"Bloody hell, yes that's the word I was looking for. It's too early for this!"
They both instantly looked at the clock. Emily shook her head.
"Jimmy baby, it's almost 10 in the morning."
Jimmy's emerald eyes looked straight into her blue eyes. Blush shot straight to Emily's cheeks, she quickly focused back to her breakfast.
"Should I do a BIG flip?" Emily said as she slithered her flipper underneath the sweet goodness. Jimmy cackled, "You can try, that pancake is bigger than your flipper though baby." They both watched intensely as Emily grasped the handle with both hands, and went to go flip the pancake, only for it to sadly flip on itself. It sizzled, and the room was silent. Emily looked over at Jimmy, and Jimmy looked over at her. They locked eye contact again, and they both simultaneously burst into uncontrollable laughter.
Tears welled up in Emily's eyes as she clutched her stomach as she laughed. Jimmy leaned up against the wall while laughing still.
They both gained their composure, and Emily turned the stove off.
"Cereal?" She suggested. Jimmy smiled and anchored his arm on her hip.
"Sounds good." He said as he kissed her forehead.
No matter how Emily's day started, good or bad, Jimmy always made it the best day shes ever lived.
