A few days later, Emily and Jimmy sat quietly in a room together, Emily avoided any eye contact with him.
"Hey, are you okay?" Jimmy finally said, reaching for her hand. Once his hand made contact with her hand, he jumped at how cold it was.
"Love, you're freezing." Jimmy said scootching closer to her. Emily just shrugged her shoulders, and continued to stare at the ground.
Her laptop, sitting on her desk, broke the silence, with a little notification ring. Emily got up with a grunt, and flipped the top open. She looked over to Jimmy with empty, sad eyes, and faintly smiled. And she then looked back at her screen, and typed visciously.
"Are you writing a book over there darling?" Jimmy said. Emily slowly turned to him before she spoke.
"I guess you can call it something like that." she said sadly, choking back tears. Jimmy slowly rose to his feet, and quietly walked over to her. Jimmy saw her screen.
You're a whore
Kill yourself already!
Nobody wants you here!
Keep cutting yourself you fucking emo, hopefully you'll do it right and die
Jimmy's heart dropped as his eyes scanned all of the messages that blew up her inbox. All of them were from people who were friends with her ex boyfriend, and wanted to make her life a living hell. Jimmy quickly threw his arms around her torso, and held her close. All Emily could do was cry into the sleeve of Jimmy's leather jacket. Jimmy quickly picked her up like a child, and sat her on his lap.
Jimmy sat her up, and brushed her copper hair from her face, and wiped away her tears.
"Would you like to go for a walk with me lovely?" Jimmy said in a hush tone. Emily slowly nodded her head, and Jimmy smiled.

Emily and Jimmy found themselves walking on the shore of a nearby creek. The water trickled down the slippery rocks, and across smooth, shiny pebbles. Crayfish and minnows would waltz with the water and its current. A gentle breeze made the trees sway in a beautiful matter, where the leaves would rustle with a calming tone. Their footsteps crunched with every step.
Jimmy then stopped Emily, and grabbed both of her hands. Emily looked up at Jimmy confused. Jimmy rubbed his thumbs over her delicate hands before he spoke.
"Emily, I hope you know you mean so much to me. Over the past month or so that I've been with you, I've been beyond happy. I've never been this happy with anybody Emily. And I wouldn't want to be happy with anybody else except you.."
Jimmy then went into the pocket on the inside of his coat, and pulled out a small velvet box, and got down on one knee. Emily's mouth dropped, and she quickly covered her mouth with her hands before she would scream. Jimmy opened the box to reveal a beautiful diamond ring. Nothing plain, but at the sometime, nothing over the top. It was perfect.
"Emily, will you do me the favor of making me the happiest, and luckiest guy in the world by becoming Mrs.Page?" Jimmy said with a smile. Emily started to cry and nod her head.
"Yes Jimmy!" Jimmy smiled, and stood up. He then slide the ring onto her finger, and pulled her in for a tight hug.
"I love you so much Jimmy."
"And I love you so much more."
