1 ; summer time

july 5th

"nine hours till you leave how will i live!" my best friend danielle shouted

we were sitting at the park with our other best friends laura and anthony. we had been running around all night and ended up here. yesterday was july fourth so the people living behind the park were setting off extra fireworks they had. we watched them above us.

"this is gonna suck. i'm gonna miss everything while i'm gone" i muttered

"it's one week, you'll be fine" laura laughed

"yeah and when i went on a cruise last summer i made so many friends. it was a wild week. just make some friends you'll have a blast" anthony explained

"i'll have to try making friends. i can not hang out with my cousins all week" i said

anthony checked his phone

"it's almost one i have to go home"

"oh shit me too" laura added

"i didn't even pack yet" i laughed which made everyone else laugh

we picked up our stuff and started leaving the park. we screamed thank you to the firework people and laughed our way down the street. we arrived at the corner where we all would go our separate ways home.

we all pouted and started a group hug

"i'll see you on sunday! i love you all!" i squeezed them really tight

they all said i love you back and we began to walk in different directions

as i walked home i wished i didn't have to go on this trip, but then i thought about what anthony said. maybe by making friends it will be fun, i won't spend a minute with my crazy family

i got to my house and checked my bother and moms room before going to mine, they were both asleep

i shut my door and began to pack my suitcase putting in bathing suits, jean shorts, dresses, flip flops, and more then what i needed for one week.

i grabbed the new journal i had bought just for the cruise. i plan to write everything down, if this ends up being fun i want every minute documented
