14 ; shooting star

july 10th

the ship had started sailing again which meant everyone was back on board. i wasted some time changing into a cute outfit and redoing my makeup. once i was done i immediately ran to find rebecca, she had called my room telling me to meet at the elevators on our floor.

"you got a hot date?" i heard her voice behind me

"maybe" i winked and hugged her

we started walking toward grayson's room

"where's joslyn?" i asked

"with her mom. she's gonna meet us later" she said and i nodded

we stopped in front of his door

"he's probably asleep" she knocked

we waited a minute and got no response

"maybe he's not in there" i suggested

"trust me he is" she banged on the door

we heard shuffling in the room and a few seconds later the door swung open

grayson was wiping his eyes and moaned

"what time is it" he asked while letting us in

i sat on the bed

"time to fucking party" i answered and grabbed my backpack. i unzipped it and showed them the bottle of wine i had stolen from my own cabin.

"no way" rebecca's eyes lit up

"get dressed let's go" i smiled

rebecca stood up to leave and let grayson get ready and i began following her. as she was half way out the door i grabbed my backpack and stood up off the bed.

before i could keep walking i felt grayson grab my hips and spin me around so i was facing him.

"hi"

"hi" i smiled

he kissed my lips and continued starring at me

"stop wasting time" i kissed him and turned to leave the room. i could see him smirking in the corner of my eye.

i rejoined rebecca outside the room and we waited

she gave me a look

"what's the look about?"

"oh nothing" she answered while grayson came out

we walked together to the main floor of the ship. i asked about their day at alantis and got filled in on everything.

we walked through the bar and pizza place area. grayson grabbed my hand and interlocked our fingers. i didn't even notice at first, it felt so comfortable. some of our other friends were there sitting with the group of girls rebecca and i despised.

as we walked by some of the girls they said "hi grayson" in their high pitched annoying voices.

i started swinging our arms so they could tell we were holding hands, then i proceeded to give them a bitchy smile and wave.

grayson laughed

"you had to do that didn't you"

"well i have to make sure they know you're off limits"

he squeezed my hand

"where are we going?" rebecca asked

"i got a spot"

i started taking them to the helicopter landing i found this morning, getting there was a long walk. we followed the side of the ship all the way to the secret stairs and up to the area.

when we got there, they were amazed. we walked around looking overboard.

"now for the best part" i explained while walking to the middle of the big circle.

i laid down flat on my back and they both looked at me funny.

"just get down here" they both laid on ether side of me

"no fucking way" rebecca gasped

"told you"

we all looked up at the clear sky. since we had just left the bahamas the sky was covered in stars. it was like something you see in pictures but never in real life, it was breathtaking.

we laid there for hours it felt like. laughing and singing to music. the three of us talked about anything that came mind. we even took cute photos of us laying down.

the excitement died down and we laid silently watching the sky. out of no where the sky lit up and a shooting star flew across us.

"did you see the shooting star?!" i screamed

"that was my first time seeing one" grayson said

"make a wish everyone" rebecca whispered

i closed my eyes and thought about what i should wish for. nothing came to mind because everything i could wish for was already happening.

i opened my eyes and looked at grayson, he was already looking at me.

"what did you wish for?" he asked

"this"
