12 ; in sync

july 9th

i hadn't realized the whole day flew by until i was leaving the restaurant after dinner. i quickly went back to my cabin and changed into something comfortable but cute. dressing up from dinner every night was getting exhausting. i easily found rebecca and jos, they waited for me almost every night.

some of the other teens were chilling at the 24 hour pizza place so we joined. i haven't seen grayson all night which worried me but i brushed it off.

"grayson told me about the other night" rebecca nudged me

i sipped my soda

"what do you mean?"

"on the top deck. he was like 'i could've done shit with octavia' and all that" she explained

"and he came into the room later and said 'octavia sucked my dick last night' then he obviously told us you didn't but he was jacking it" jos jumped in

my jaw dropped

"are you kidding? like shit i would of sucked his dick but that kinda makes me mad" i admitted

why is grayson all of a sudden acting like the lame fuck boys in my hometown?

before i could continue both girls gave me the 'stop talking right now' look and their eyes darted behind me.

"what's up grayson?" steven asked and they started talking

i took another sip of my soda

i felt my shoulder being tapped and turned my head

"can i talk to you?" grayson asked

i nodded and got up from the table

i followed him silently

"sorry i stole you from them" he said

"it's fine what's up?"

we were walking around the pool deck and stopped at the railing. i looked out at the dark open sea then at grayson.

"i broke up with my girlfriend"

"wait what?" i asked

this was the last thing i was expecting him to say

"yeah while i had wifi today i did it"

i stopped him before he could continue

"i feel like the reason you're telling me this is because it has to do with me and if that's why trust me you should get back with her immediately" i started rambling

"octavia listen, my relationship with victoria was already bound to end. we've been fighting for so long but nothing has ever pushed me to want to end things. until i met you"

i didn't know what to say so i just stared at him

"and i know you don't like cheaters. so i figured since times running out for us and this trip it needed to be done" he finished

i looked back out into the sea

"i don't know what to say"

"you don't have to say anything. just be glad that we could do this now"

he grabbed my face and gently placed his lips on mine. for a split second i was completely frozen until i realized what was happening. i kissed back immediately and our lips moved in sync.

i pulled my lips back, eyes still closed, face to face with him. i fell from my tippy toes and looked down

"i've been waiting to do that since i layed eyes on you the first night in the elevator" he whispered

i reached up again and placed a kiss on his lips

i giggled a little after

"what's so funny?" he asked

"rebecca and jos are never gonna believe this"

"they will believe anything trust me" he laughed

"yeah like when you told them i sucked your dick" i gave him a stern look

"oh come on it's not like you don't want too"

my eyes opened wide

"oh please" i pushed him

he laughed and grabbed my hips, pulling my body closer to his, kissing me.

"we should've started this the first day" he said

"well thank god we have a few days left"

our lips were in motion again this time not stopping, because every moment our lips weren't connected it felt like time running out
