"Father! Go away!"
"GET BACK HERE, (Y/N))!"
I wake up drenched in sweat. It has been 15 years since I've seen my father and I definitely don't want to see him again. I wipe my eyes as Jade, the Schuyler family maid, walks in.
"Good morning, Miss (Y/N). How did you sleep?"
"Well," I lied through my teeth.
Jade kneels down so she can look me in the eye.
"Miss (Y/N), I know you better than that. What happened?"
"Just the usual nightmare.. You know.."
Jade is very understanding and kind. She's always been nice to my sisters and I.
"Hey, I know a café that recently opened up. You can go there and grab a coffee and come back more refreshed!"
"But my paper-"
"No buts! Off with you!"
She lays a (F/C) dress on the bed and leaves to give me some privacy.

I walked down the street. I usually don't take this path, as the normal restaurant and café we attend are more towards upstate New York.
I walk in the door, a tiny bell jingles and a short, woman greets me.
"Hello! Welcome to the Mama Bear Café!"
"Thank you. You are?"
"Rose Bearinson."
"Rose.. I remember that name.. Do you remember a(n) Y/N Schuyler?
A few men murmur quietly amongst themselves after hearing my last name.
"I remember a(n) Y/N Rosenburg.."
I blush upon hearing my old name. It's a foreign name from a foreign country.
Rose glances at me. "Funny, she had your French accent..."
I roll up my sleeve to show a scar left by my father's knife. If this is the Rose Bearinson I knew, she should recognize it.
"I remember... That's the scar that soaked your sleeve red. Oh! Where are my manners. You can meet my friend, Aaron Burr!"
A young man with very short black hair, dark skin, deep brown eyes, and 5 coffees at his side sits at a bar. He turns to look at me, sending shivers down my spine. He is a handsome man, his posture is even intelligent. He stands up and politely kisses my hand. I feel my cheeks heat up.
"Aaron Burr, at your service, Miss?"
"Miss (Y/N) Schuyler. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"The pleasure is all mine, Miss (Y/N)"
I smile politely, then Rose speaks.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I'll have you seated."
"Can I have a coffee over here, Rose?"
"You have had 16 coffees, Burr! I think it's time to stop. I'll get you a water."
Burr groans as Rose seats me at a table.
"What would you like today?"
"Just a coffee and a muffin please."
Rose nods. "Coming right up!" She walks off and returns shortly with my coffee and muffin.
I take a sip of my coffee. I can see why Burr had sixteen coffees, it's heavenly.
I see Burr walk over to my booth, he puts his hands on the seat on both sides of my legs, I fluster up.
"B-Burr?..."
Burr moves his face closer to mine "Yes?"
"Y-you're making me uncomfortable..."
Just as I think Burr is going to kiss me, he reaches his left hand over and grabs my coffee.
"Thank you, Miss Schuyler. I apologize for making you uncomfortable but as a college student, I need as much coffee as possible."
"All of that was just for coffee? I could have ordered you some!"
He ignores me takes a sip and a smile teases his lips.
"You know, we have drank from the same cup so we've cup kissed, (Y/N)."
I roll my eyes and turn away from him.
"Celebrate that because that's the most you're getting from me, Burr."
He chuckles. "Is that so, Miss Schuyler?"
I nod once and eat my muffin. He's definitely a flirt. A handsome one at that but flirting isn't the way to win my affection. To be honest, I haven't seen better attempts to win my heart.
"Are you going to walk away now, Burr?"
"Sorry, I got lost in your eyes. Can you give me directions back to my seat?"
"GO."
Burr walks back to his seat and I sigh. I've always been this way whenever a young gentlemen approaches Angelica, Eliza, Peggy or I. It's frustrating. Everyone so desperate to marry a woman they don't know for money.

I say my goodbyes to Rose and walk outside. It's a decently cool day, being fall. Suddenly, a man pins me against a wall and smells my (H/T) hair.
"Hello there, lovely.."
