eddie hadn't responded in hours, which was unlike him. he'd never left richie hanging.
richie decided to stop emailing him, and to actually call his phone, to no avail.
when calling him, texting him, and asking around to their friends didn't work- richie got nervous.
he decided that he'd go by eddie's house and check on him. not that he'd asked him to, or that he'd said he was in danger, but richie was nervous.
when richie got to eddie's house, henry's truck was parked outside. he parked on the road, and quickly ran up the porch steps, knocking loudly on the door.
"eddie? you here?" richie could hear scrambling from within the house, before the door swung open. henry was stood in the doorway, eddie sat on the stairs behind him with tears streaming down his face.
"what are you doing here?" henry's voice boomed. richie struggled to think of a reason.
"um, bev left something here the other day. she asked me to come by and get it." henry scoffed.
"you're full of shit, tozier." henry walked towards richie, pushing him backwards and down the porch steps.
"henry, please leave him alone." eddie said softly.
"shut. up." henry looked behind him, eddie still sitting on the stairs inside.
"i'll go get bev's thing, and he'll be on his way. leave him out of this, please." richie looked passed henry, eyes locking with eddie. henry grabbed richies face, directing his gaze back to his own.
"here, not there."
"sorry." richie said, voice dripping with distain.
"i should kill you for even showing your face here." henry's voice was cold, and richie knew that he meant it.
"henry don't-" a car pulled up behind richie.
sonia kaspbrak had just gotten off of work, and was very confused to see the boys fighting on her lawn.
"what is going on out here?" sonia said, walking towards the house. her eyes darted from henry and richie, back to eddie, standing in the doorway with tears in his eyes.
"hi ms. kaspbrak." henry said, sonia just ignored him.
"eddie?"
"nothing mom. richie was just leaving."
