riche thought that bev was going to drop dead when she came in. her jaw was practically on the floor, even though eddie had said that he was ninety-nine percent sure that she had figured out that they were back together in some capacity.

"hey, red? that's what you say? what is he doing in my house?" bev felt lightheaded. the thing is, she had figured it out. she knew. but she thought she would've at least been briefed on it before finding richie tozier in eddie's bed with no pants on.

"it's our house." eddie said, from the floor. he had a hand on his lower back, recoiling as he touched it.

"edward." bevs neck snapped in his direction, and eddie decided that it was probably a good idea that he shut the fuck up.

richie, who was witnessing the bickering, full on laughed. bev looked like her head was about to explode.

"clearly," eddie thought. "someone didn't get the memo."

"what are you laughing at."

"oh, nothing. sorry. i'm sorry, it's not funny." richie tried his best to stifle his smile, he really did.

"no, richie. it isn't funny. none of this is. i'm very, very unamused." and she really was. eddie could tell. she didn't like this one bit.

"i was agreeing with you." richie said, playfully. eddie wished that he was anywhere but there.

"you're so lucky that i'm not strangling you with my bare hands right now." they all knew she meant it.

"look, i think there's a discussion that should be had and it can happen without anyone murdering anyone." eddie stood from the floor, still holding his lower back.

"i want to murder the both of you, actually."

"bev, please-"

"movie time."

and that's how the three of them wound up together on bev and eddie's living room couch.

eddie sat between bev and richie, opting to be the middle man. literally.

bev had given them time to put clothes on, but hadn't given them time to help decide on a movie.

so they were forced to watch twilight.

eddie didn't mind, though. neither did richie really. it made the both of them feel more comfortable.

the first time either of them had seen the twilight movies had been in bevs aunts house. she'd seen them before, as had probably every other teenage girl, but the boys never had. so, that night mike and richie brought bevs queen mattress down the stairs and put it on the floor in front of the couch, while ben drove bev and eddie to the convenience store down the block for snacks, bill called for pizzas, and stan set up the tv.

bevs aunts house had been their prime sleepover spot for about a month at that point. bevs aunt had been really cool about it, which was great for them because most parental guardians wouldn't be too keen on their seventeen year old daughter having a sleepover with six boys. but bevs aunt was different. she trusted them. she knew that she could.

eddie winced as richie put a ice pack on his back, causing him to be thrown from his thoughts about being back in derry.

"thank you." richie nodded, sliding onto the couch next to him.

eddie looked over to bev, who faced the tv with a scowl. he had to fix this. he knew it wouldn't be fixed today or probably even a month from now, but she couldn't be mad at him forever. at least eddie didn't think that she could. he honestly didn't know.
