"henry who is it?" eddie physically shuddered . he couldn't remember the last time he'd heard that voice. it scared him.

"it's just eddie, pa. he forgot something last time he was here, we're going to go look for it in my room." henry said as they passed the dining room table, where chief bowers was sitting, a coffee mug in his hand.

the chief nodded and smiled at eddie, offering a wave, which eddie returned.

the two walked to henry's bedroom and once they were inside, henry shut the door and turned to eddie.

"what do you want?" his voice was cold, not that eddie didn't expect it to be. he sighed and looked around.

"i need to talk about things. because what's going on right now isn't okay, hen. it really isn't fucking cool." henry knew it wasn't cool, but eddie needed to pay for what he did. because that was beyond not cool.

sure, henry knew that he hadn't been the best boyfriend. he knew that he was overprotective and too jealous. and he knew that he was cold. but he never intentionally treated eddie badly. he never wanted to hurt him.

"okay, what are you waiting for?" eddie sat up slightly and moved so that henry could sit next to him on the bed. eddie never thought that he'd be back in this room. back sitting on the twin sized bed that sat in the corner of henry's small bedroom. it was painted blue three summers ago, they had to take out the carpet and redo it because someone spilt paint on it.

henry hadn't changed a thing since the last time he'd been here. it was the exact same, down the the books on henry's desk.

"you can't keep interfering in my relationship. you can't. if you think for one second that it'll make me come back, you're wrong. the only thing you're doing is ruining things for me. look, i did some really shitty things to you okay? i know that. and i am so sorry. but that has nothing to do with richie. you lied to him about my dad, henry. and telling him that you went with me three years ago knowing that i haven't seen him since i was little? are you crazy?"

"eds i'm sorry. you broke my heart dude. i didn't know what else to do. look i'll call him and tell him that i lied. i just want you in my life."

"henry, you've done enough. right now i don't think that being around you is the best thing for me. maybe one day we can put this aside us and be friends but i just cant see that happening after what's gone on, and what we've both been put through."

and with that, eddie stood up and walked out.
