Chapter 15 - I Forgive You

Amber P.O.V-

"Who?" Brandon acted dumb.

"Your daughter! Dahlia!" I raised my voice, annoyed.

"Oh, that Dahlia." He pretended to have a moment of realization. "She's with your mother." He said quickly.

"What!" I was borderline shouting at this point.

"Well my dad wanted to see her so he brought her to his house, but then he had a meeting so your mum's looking after her." He explained briefly.

"Are you forgetting what my mother had done?" I growled. Well as close as a human can get to growling.

"She's not that bad." He replied with a shrug.

"She convinced Rebecca not to want her own daughter and she forced you to stay away. She nearly got Rebecca to get an abortion at one point. Dahlia would have been put up for adoption and you would of never seen her again if she had her way." I reminded him.

Brandon's eyes widened as he scrambled to get out of the house. "Oh no! My daughter's probably half way to Mexico by now." He was worried.

I followed him out the house and to another house around the corner. He opened the door with a key and ran around the house frantically. We found them both in the kitchen.

Patricia, my mother, was cooking something on the stove while Dahlia was sitting on a counter eating a bowl of animal crackers. Brandon picked her up immediately, hugging her tightly.

"You manipulative bitc-" I was cut off.

"Kids in the room." Brandon scolded me. I sighed.

"I wasn't do anything. I was taking care of her, like a grandmother should." Patricia insisted.

"You're as good at being a grandmother as you are at being a mother." I replied crossing my arms.

"I admit. I didn't welcome Dahlia correctly." My mother said.

"I think that's putting it lightly. You wanted to get rid of her." I looked at her with disgust.

"He was too young to be a father." She said looking at Brandon who was watching us. Dahlia was as oblivious as ever.

"That wasn't your choice." He commented.

"You was right about one thing. You should've put someone up for adoption." I said. She turned to me confused.

"What?" She asked.

"Me. You should've put me up for adoption because my life would have been a hell of a lot happier if I never knew you." I left the house returning back to the pack house with Brandon in tow. As we got in Brandon placed Dahlia down and she ran to look at Parker's toys.

"Do you want to talk abo-"

"No." I answered him simply.

I flopped down on the couch. Tommy had moved and was talking to Stacy in the kitchen. I rested my head on Xavier's lap exhausted, he smiled down at me and ran his fingers through my hair.

"Oh. Brandon here's your change." I pulled the money out of my pocket and held my hand out to him. He took it and stuffed it in his own pocket.

"Change from what?" Xavier asked.

"Brandon paid for Tim's piercing and my tattoo." I smiled weakly at him. His eyes turned a darker shade before returning to normal.

"You got a tattoo? Where?" He remained calm.
