Chapter 28

When I woke up, Aodhan was still there, I was still in his arms. I could hardly believe it. He had stayed with me all night. I didn’t even want to move in fear of waking him up. I tangled my hands further into his hair and pushed myself closer to him, if that were even possible, inhaling his heavenly scent.

He opened his eyes and smiled at me.

“Good morning.” He said. His voice was husky and it drove me insane.

“Hey, how did you sleep?” I asked.

“That was… the best sleep I’ve had in a while. How about you?” he smiled.

“Same, you’re really comfortable.” I smiled.

Surely he could see how in love with him I was? I think a blind man could see that I’m crazy about him. I’m being far too obvious, but I couldn’t help it.

“Well, it was nice to have somebody to cuddle. Not sure how I’m going to cope without cuddling you tonight.” He chuckled softly.

“I know, I won’t be able to cuddle up to you.” I pouted playfully which made him smile and stroke my cheek. This guy was sending me crazy. Surely he knows the effect he has on me?

“Well, you could if you were willing to share your bed with me again?” he asked, hope shone in his eyes.

I looked at him and smiled before closing my eyes and snuggling my head into his neck.

“Now that sounds like a great idea.” I breathed. I personally couldn’t think of anything better.

“Good, I like the comfort.” He sighed.

Me too…

“So, how are you feeling today?” Aislinn asked me.

I looked up from my Ben and Jerry’s and gave her a smile.

“I’m feeling much better, thanks.” I grinned.

“I’d like to think that is because we’re having a fabulous girly day… but I’m more inclined to believe that it’s something to do with the fact that you were cuddled up with Aodhan all night?” Caera winked at me.

I laughed and nodded. Even though I couldn’t have him, I was happy to have moments like that with him.

“Ew, that’s my brother dude.” Aislinn wrinkled her nose in disgust.

“Yeah, I’m kind of in love with your brother.” I nodded with a smile.

“Have you told him that yet?” Caera asked.

“No… I can’t. He told me he was in love someone last night.” I sighed.

“How do you now that it’s not you?” Aislinn asked.

            “I don’t…” I sighed.

“Then just tell him!” she urged me.

I sighed and shook my head before taking a huge mouthful of Ben and Jerry’s.

“Come on, let’s not be down… let’s go for a walk.” Caera suggested with a smile.
