The day after I got the call from Dr. Tisdale's office was one of the most breathable days I had since that night. Even as I walked to my class, the cold breeze blowing around me, I felt at ease. I was healthy; no STDs and not pregnant. I smiled to myself. Thank God...I'm not ready for that. I tightened my hold on my straps. I don't think I'll ever be.
Despite me practically being on cloud nine from hearing my results, it had been an eye-opener. Though I never...well, though I rarely participated in such endeavors such as one nightstands, it did open my eyes. I had to be warier and more cautious of my actions. If by chance hooking up with people I barely knew was a possibility, then I knew I needed to take better precautions to protect myself. I wasn't planning on hopping in bed with just anyone again, but some safety was better than none.
It'd be wise if I carried a condom around in my purse. I chewed on my lips. And I guess it wouldn't hurt if I got on the pill...just in case. The thought of taking birth control felt so foreign to me. I had never seen myself as the kind of girl who would need that. I mean, I wasn't shaming those who did use it. After all, birth control was also used for medical reasons, such as in regulating cycles and so on. Plus, it was a way for women to take control. If they did solely use it to prevent pregnancy, then that was them still protecting themselves.
Regardless, I was overthinking it all. In the end, I knew it was better for me to just go ahead and protect myself. Even if I ended up never having sex again, it was better safe than sorry. That was what I told myself and I knew it was the truth. Safety above all else.
I breathed out a sigh and made my way to the front doors to the LAL building, almost eager for class. The warmth of the building's interior swaddled me, gently pecking at my nose as it chased the cold from outside away. I appreciated the furnace for its hard work within my mind and pushed on, making my way to Professor Ral's class.
I hurried on my way, passing multiple people until I finally made it to my classroom. I moseyed on into the room and claimed my usual seat. Most of my classmates were already present, which was nothing new. As usual, we all just sat in silence, each of us patiently awaiting the arrival of our instructor. Typical, really. Professor Ral was constantly tardy, though she nagged anyone who stumbled in after her. She wasn't very skilled at timing herself it seemed.
However, I didn't care about that. I focused on readying myself, neatly arranging my materials. We had a model coming in that day, so I wanted to be prepared. After all, we wanted to put into use every second that we possibly could.
I had just finished setting up all my things when Eren and his two friends made their way into the room. As opposed to our earlier class periods, they arrived quiet, none exchanging words. In the past, they had happily chatted as they made their way to their seats, but ever since Marianne had died a month back, the light that had been present in their eyes vanished. Both Eren and Connie had grown quiet, very rarely saying a word and when they did, it was in hushed whispers. Meanwhile, their friend, Armin as I had learned his name to be, did his best to lighten the mood, but his attempts were all for not. Both the outgoing boys had practically checked out.
I honestly felt bad for them, but I had little time to think about that as Professor Ral made her way into the room, her short strawberry blonde locks pulled back into a small ponytail, giving a full view of her soft features. She was dressed in a loosely fitted sweater and dark denim jeans that clung to her slender legs, her brown leather boots going to her knees. Bangle bracelets sat array on her slim wrists, each band shimmering in the light.
She trotted over to her desk and placed her things down before turning to us. She clapped her palms together and sighed, "Okay, class. Bad news. Our model today had to cancel on us due to family reasons, but we are lucky enough to have a replacement for the day." The corners of her lips drew up as she beamed, "Everyone, I want you all to give a big 'thank you' to our stand-in, Professor Ackerman."
She motioned at the doorway just as a short man shuffled in, the soles of his heavy boots scuffing the floor. His toned arms were crossed firmly over his chest, the sleeves of his dress shirt pushed up to his elbows. The fabric of his tan slacks hung from his narrow hips, each article of clothing pressed neatly. His short inky locks were styled into an undercut that contrasted against his ivory flesh, a cold, stoic expression written clearly across his smooth features. In all honesty, I found him intimidating and almost scary.
"Listen and listen good you brats," Professor Ackerman scoffed as he moseyed to the center of the class. "I'm doing this one time and one time only, so don't make me look like shit. That means you, Springer."
I perked up, glancing over at Connie. He had buried his face into his hands, but I could still tell his face was flushing scarlet just by how red his ears were. Professor Ackerman threw daggers at the boy with his sharp gray glare, his expression still cold. I wasn't sure how well the two knew each other, but it was clear Connie had at least been in one of the man's classes.
"Next, don't ever mention that I did this," Professor Ackerman continued. "Again, looking at you, Springer. Keep your mouth shut and I won't have to fail your ass."
Connie held up a shaky hand with his thumb lifted and mumbled shakily, "N-no problem, Professor Ackerman."
"Good," the man murmured.
At that, he followed the usual protocol and went behind a screen Professor Ral kept up for the models. As he readied himself for the session, my classmates took that time to prepare their work areas. Shuffling paper and the sound of zippers filled the room, echoing around me.
Within a few moments, Professor Ackerman reemerged from the screen, a white robe clothing him as he made his way to the center of the room. He arranged the cot to his comfort and threw his robe off, exposing his naked body to us. He sat down, situating himself as he stared directly at Connie, throwing daggers at him the whole time. I caught settle glances at Connie, watching as he worked silently on his piece, Eren quietly chuckling at his friend.
Besides that, I viewed Professor Ackerman as just any other model. I worked at a decent pace, gingerly stroking my pencil against the paper just as everyone did. I drew what I saw. A short man with a chiseled jawline, striking abdominal muscles, intense eyes, and an intimate part that he proudly showcased. Yup...just another day as an art student. College is fun.
**Bello my wonderful lovelies! So, first thing's first. Thank you to Petlover1116 for the idea of making Levi the model in this. I honestly don't think in real life that one professor volunteers to do what he's doing for another's class, but that's the beauty of fanfic. But, hey, never know, right? So, thank you Pet for this awesome idea! If you guys are interested, you should totally check out their work! I'm currently reading a few different books of theirs. Anyway, thank you all so much for any and all support so far! It honestly means the world to me! Stay groovy! Wuv yous!! <3**
