READ THIS PEOPLE, IT"S A WARNING!!!

Umm, just a warning for people who might be a little squeamish, this chapter gets a little bit violent, so you might want to skim to the exorcism, it's not bad. When you see this "_____**_____" that's where the exorcism is :) there's a translation of the ritual at the end for people who want to know what it says roughly.

For the people who skip it, there will be a description on what happens in the chapter at the end :)

Btw, thanks a lot for BrianaMadden for making me this awesome cover :) Thanks so much, love it! If you guys ever need help with a cover, she's the one to do it :) She also made me the cover on the side too.

Oh, and for those of you who like poetry, check out Live_Wire12386, the story is called "Musings of the Heart". It's really good :) drop a comment or vote, she's pretty new to Wattpad so go welcome her!

I grinned at Gen as I looked at the knife in my hand, and crept closer to her.

"Do you remember me?" I whispered, and she looked confused before a smirk crossed her face.

"I can't recall, but I would have remembered you," she winked, and I felt disgusted. I backhanded her, and her/Kain's head snapped sideways. It's a bit weird talking to her through Kain, but it will work.

"Now I do. You're the cute little number Kain had in the back of the truck," I slapped her again, and she turned away, spitting blood.

"No. Think back harder, to when mates were assigned, not chosen. When you were causing so much chaos. Think back to a woman with my face, and a secret mate. His name was Carn. Ring bells?" I slid the knife along her jaw as a light of understanding came into here eyes. She slowly watched me edge the knife down her neck.

"Well well, seems you do remember. Are you still missing your other half? I made sure she could never get back to you," she chuckled gleefully, but blanched when i showed her my sharpened fangs.

" 'Fraid not honey, she's back and more angry than ever," I growled, letting her a bit loose. She yapped at the restraint, but I reined her in. Now Gen looked fearful.

"Who are you? No one could have gotten their other half back," she said in a stricken voice. I grinned "Apparently it's possible. Now, who hired you?"I positioned the blade under her/his chin, and drizzled salt water over it, pressing down. She screamed when the water ran down into the cut.

"I'll never tell you, whore," she spat, and I just pressed harder, then withdrew the blade. She gasped in a breath. I knelt down beside her, looking right into her murky black eyes.

"Oh, I'm just getting started," I promised, and grinned with anticipation.

Josh's POV

I silently watched Sam with Gen, and I have to admit, it was troubling. She looked haunted, like she remembered something, but the way she was questioning her, well, it had my stomach roiling. i heard the tone of her voice, and she sounded...satisfied, with the harm she was causing.  When she took the blade and poured water onto it, slipping it under Kain's/Gen's chin, I wondered what was going on with my nice calm naive mate. It didn't feel good.

Sam's POV

I coated the knife in salt, dipped it in the water, and drew a fine line across her cheek. Her flesh hissed and bubbled. Her scream echoed in my ears, blending with my wolf's howl of joy. I only saw Gen, her eyes staring back at me, pleading to stop, but too proud to ask. I wouldn't stop until she told me. I had my family and all I loved on the line, I won't stop until they're safe.
