SORRY FOR THE LONG WAIT.

'IT'S NOT true mom,' I say softly, feeling... well, nothing.

'It is!' She exclaims with determination. But I know she's lying. It can't be. My knees feel weak but I force myself to stand.

'She saw him, honey,' My dad cuts in. My eyes snap towards him and he almost flinches at the hollowness in them.

'Lucas,' I ground out, 'Is. Gone.' I'm not sure I believe it but I didn't need false hope. My mom stays say silent and I watch the grim faces of my parents.

'He had curly, luscious, brown hair,' Mom starts. I try to interrupt her but she holds up a hand. 'He had blue eyes, those goddamn blue eyes. A shade of blue that would match the darkness of galaxies but beauty of universes.' Lucas's eyes had been truly amazing, they were shades darker than my mom's but always seemed to be more lively. 'He bounced with a light step, as if he was carefree and then-'

'And then what?' I finally snarl, teeth nearly  smashing to powder.

'And then he was gone.'

From the determination and grief in my mom's, my parents's, I'm not sure whether all of this is true.

THE NEXT day, I lounge on the sofa, infinitely bored, sighing as my mom and dad talk to a cop. It also seemed that someone finally noticed my duvet cover was missing and I quickly lied to cover it up. Er, I had a nosebleed on it. My bag, however, they didn't notice.

My parents are speaking in a frantic manner and I know that they're trying to win the cops to our side. I catch snippets of their conversation.

'So you want to file a case?' A feminine voice asks.

'Yes, my-'

'Who's it against?'

'Well my son was taken by-'

'Do you know who?'

'Yes.'

'Then who?'

'My son was taken by the F.B.I.'

I hear a sigh come out of the cop's lips. 'By the F.B.I?'

'Yes, stop interrupting me! My son, Lucas, was taken by F.B.I for no apparent reason-'

'Did they have any identification?'

'Yes, this man came in with an F.B.I shirt and was holding an I.D card-'

'Then we can't help you. F.B.I overrides us. I best be goi-'

'Please?' This time it's my dad's turn to speak. His words are soft and desperate. 'Please,' He murmurs again.

'There were cops at the scene as well,' My mom says.

I hear another sigh. 'I'll just look into it but I can't file a case for you. Just tell me your old address.'
