" i'm headed straight for the castle, they've got the kingdom locked up "
"THIS is why I told you never to leave the house!" Klaus' voice rang through the dark night. He had just finished piling the few vampires up in the front garden of their plantation house. In front of him stood Rebekah, Hayley and Lena. Rebekah and Lena had been out when they had heard Hayley get into her little fight, and they had saved her from becoming a vampire's next meal. They had also found out, earlier that day from Sophie Deveraux, that Hayley and she were linked so they could not kill the witch without killing Hayley.
"Werewolves are banned in the Quarter, and witches aren't allowed to do magic!"
"All I did was turn some stupid vampire's hand into a balloon, I don't see the harm in that!" Lena snapped back, causing Klaus' frightening glare to swivel onto her.
"I had a plan, and your little nighttime stroll and your little taste of magic put it all in peril." One of the vampires in the pile began to groan, causing Rebekah to move forward as if to help him or to kill him, but Klaus had another idea. "LEAVE HIM! You've done enough, don't you think, leaving a trail of bodies like a roadmap to my door?"
Now it was Rebekah's turn to get angry at her brother. "If Lena and I hadn't overheard this lot bragging about werewolf heads everyone here would be screwed, and don't give me that crap about having a plan. You've had all the time in the world to execute a plan, and no one's seen you do a damn thing!"
"Actually, this morning I saw him asking out a pretty little blonde for Marcel," piped up Lena. Rebekah smirked at her best friend, she had definitely rubbed off on the girl in all the right and wrong ways in raising her.
"And here I was thinking you were the quiet one!" spat out Klaus. Lena only glared back at him, much to the delight of Hayley and Rebekah. Klaus needed knocking down a few pegs and they were both quite ready to put that sort of pressure onto Lena's shoulders, she could easily handle it.
"Elijah made a deal to protect your child so that he could save you from your selfish, rotten self," Rebekah shouted at her brother, taking his attention of the metamorphic witch. "You obviously don't give a damn about the child or Elijah because what have you don't to honour it?"
"I have done everything!" Klaus argued back. Hayley had moved closer to Lena. She felt a little closer to the witch after having her save her life from two vampires and also talking to her that morning about how crazy the Mikaelson family seemed. It felt nice to no longer be the only outsider.
