(wow don't you love this picture)

THIS STORY HIT 14 ON THE DANXREADER TAG AND I AM ACTUALLY A BAWLING MESS RIGHT NOW. WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS THE AMOUNT OF SHOCK I'M EXPERIENCING.

i was just scrolling through the tag then i saw my story there and got hit with like 25 emotions at once.

if you are reading this you are my best friend (sorry morgan and soph).

i mean i think wattpad's just drunk and my story isn't actually meant to be that high up BUT STILL.

anyway i know you're all dying for more clues about the mystery stalker, so...

here you go~

You sat in your living room waiting for Emma. She said she would be back by now. Was she hurt? Did they find her?

God, she's such a dolt sometimes, now I'm actually worried.

You stood up to go across to Dan and Phil's. Maybe she stopped there and forgot to tell you?

No, she wouldn't forget in a time like this. Doesn't hurt to check, though.

You approached your front door when something caught your eye - a note that seemed to have been slipped under it. It was scrawled in sharpie, in a handwriting that seemed familiar. You couldn't quite remember where you knew it from. This is what it read:

You're running out of time. Better hurry up, or else...

By the way, don't forget that I'm always watching. I know when you're with him. I know when you insult me. Don't forget what I said, names are powerful things.

That was... Something. It confirmed some of your fears - they knew where you lived, they heard all your conversations, and they knew you hadn't broken up with Dan. You decided to take the note over to Dan and Phil's to see what they thought, and to see if Emma was there.

You stepped out of your flat, and walked across the hall to Dan and Phil's. You knocked on the door, and Dan answered.

"Hey (Y/n)." He said, quickly pecking your cheek.

"Hi, can I come in? It's really important."

"Yeah, sure." He said, a bit uneasy. You all were since the whole stalker thing started. With that, he led you to the lounge, where Phil was on the couch.

No Emma.

You sighed, sitting down next to Phil. "She's not here."

"Who?" Phil asked.

"Emma." You started talking really fast, like you did when you were about to panic. "She's not home, she hasn't come back yet, she was supposed to be grocery shopping and now she's gone, and it's all my fault-"

"(Y/n). Snap out of it!" Dan sat next to you, putting his hands on your shoulders. "Nothing is your fault, okay? Slow down, and explain what's happening." He took his hands back.

You took a deep breath. "Emma went grocery shopping, and said she'd be back within an hour. It's been three. She hasn't called or texted. I thought that maybe she came here but she obviously didn't. And to top it all off, I found this. It looked like someone slipped it under our door." You handed Dan the note, who read it.

"What the fuck?"

"Let me see." Phil said, taking the note.

"Yeah." You sighed. "I don't know what to do. Obviously they want us apart." You gestured to yourself and Dan. "But how far will they go?"

"There's no telling what they'll do." Dan sighed. "If we could figure out why they want to break us up, then we could get an idea of who they are."

Phil handed you the note back. "Do you recognize the handwriting, or even the pen?"

"It seems so familiar, but I just can't figure out where I've seen it before..." You shoved the note in your pocket. "None of that's important until we find Em, though."

Then a loud knock came.

"I'll get it." Dan stood up, and went to the front door. From where you were, you heard him yell "OH MY GOD!"

"What?!" You and Phil asked in unison. Then Dan entered the room, with a barely conscious Emma draped around his shoulders.

wow this story is getting unrealistic. but, hey, it's entertaining, right?

...right?
