Some writers don't know
or rather don't admit
even I don't at times
that some of my poems
excerpts
works
words
are dry
I know why
because even if the words don't
emerge
exactly as arranged
and writing them seems like flinging
pebbles in a waterless river
its the only way
the only light
through which people like us
ever feel alive
