As Knockout stepped through the portal out into the field, his spark raced with excitement. He was going to see Nightstreak again. Marking his way through the wooded grove, he started taking in the beauty of the trees; the last few times, he hadn't really gotten the chance. As he approached the curtain of moss that concealed the hidden cave, his spark started pounding quicker. Stepping down into the cave cautiously, heard nothing but his own echoing ped steps. Avoiding the decepticon body parts, he finally got to the narrow passageway. Squeezing through, he finally stepped out into the sunny oasis. Once again, the beauty of the paradise startled him.
"Nightstreak!" he called. No answer. "Nightstreak?" He started to grow worried.
"Shes probably just late." he told himself, trying to calm down as he looked around the area. He noticed a large grand oak tree who's center seemed to have been carved out at a few feet high, forming a den in it's core.
There was something in it.
Knockout took out his saws; safety precaution. As he inched nearer, he noticed the object to be rising and falling at a steady beat. It looked like a brown mound covered in leaves. Color shimmered out in different places.
Nightstreak.
Knockout put his ways away and walked up to the femme. She was in recharge, her body covered completely in mud and dirt. A blanket of leaves covered her. He noticed a small pool of energon under her wounded leg. Smiling at how cute she looked sleeping, Knockout took out a roll of bandages he had packed, and started to wrap her leg in it. She barely even budged. It was a rush job, but it would work, until it healed. As knockout packed his stuff up, he noticed something odd about the puddle of energon. It had crystalized, which meant it had been exposed to the air for longer than 12 hours. Which meant...
Knockout sat down and sighed, feeling sad.
"You lied last week, about having a place to stay. You don't have anywhere else to go, this is your home. You stayed here, all through the cold night, without any covering, freezing your aft off. You didn't tell me." He sighed again. "You should've just told me."
He stopped, and glanced at the femme. She was looking back, grasping the leaves, her eyes moist, as if she had been crying. .
"Knockout?"
"Hi."
"You know?" He nodded.
"I'm sorry." She said, sitting up. "I-I just didn't want you to worry."
"Is that why you didn't tell me?" She nodded, and sniffed, a tear of lubricant sliding down her cheek. Knockout felt horrible. She didn't have a place to go, anybody to hang with, she was all alone. No, . As she started to sob, he pulled her into his arms, hugging her lightly.
"You've always been alone, haven't you? That's why you were so scared at me at first; everybody you've met has tried to kill you, didn't they?" He listened to her sobs, hugging her tighter as her body started to tremble.
"I-I'm s-s-s-so alone!" She whispered then wailed "It hurts!" It just broke Knockout's spark.
"Hey, hey hey, it's ok. Ssshhh, your ok. You don't have to be alone anymore." He said softly, then tipped her head up so she was looking at his face. "You don't have to go through anything alone anymore. You have me now. I will never let you go through things alone. Do you understand me? You are not alone."
She stared at him, her optics glistening, wet with lubricant. Suddenly, she threw her arms around him, and hugged him close. Knockout froze for a moment, then hugged her closer.
"Thank you!" She wailed and started crying again. Knockout didn't say anything, and just merely hugged her, and didn't let go.
"Ssshhh, sshhh, it's ok. I've got you, it's ok, I'm here." me murmured.
"Im here."
