"Yeah, I thought you wouldn't mind..."
I knew for a fact that the moment Jungkook sees Jong Suk, he's going to be an ass. He likes to one up him and sound more impressive. I always feel like I'm in the Bachalorette, deciding between two guys. Sometimes, I wind up creating a pro and con list for the both of them. Which in my opinion is not healthy.
Well, I'm not the problem. I stared at the back of Jungkook's head as he walked further in front of me, already imaging the dreadful events that were going to take place.
"Taehyung!" I called out, making him stop in place and look back at me. I was beckoning him over my way, which he obliged. "What's up?"
I sighed and whispered in his ear, "Jong Suk is coming..."
He pulled his head back and shut his eyes in annoyance. "Why and how," he asked me, already knowing that Jungkook isn't fond of him. "Eunjae invited him," I muttered. He sighed, "Well, we can't forbid him anyways. I don't wanna be an ass."
'I'm sorry' I mouthed. His lips formed a line smile, followed by a slight nod. He walked back to the group, wrapping his arm around Jungkook's shoulders, like if his day wasn't going to be ruined.
Before I had the chance to scold Eunjae, my eyes were covered. "Uhm, who's this?" "Hey beautiful," said a deep voice, triggering the memories of Jong Suk calling me beautiful almost every time we met. I planted my palms on his knuckles, trying to remove them of my eyes, "Jong Suk..."
He finally retrieved his hands, turning me around and pulling me into an embrace. My face was smushed into his chest, my voice muffled as I tried to tell him to let go. "I can't hear you. What?" He said amusingly, making fun of me.
"Come on Jong Suk, let her go," Eunjae giggled, pulling me away from his arms. I smacked him on the chest, fixing my messy bangs. "What? I was having a bit of fun. That's all," he smiled, looking like an innocent little boy.
"Come on, let's catch up with the others," Eunjae said, leading the way back to the group.
I felt like my head was going to explode from the anxiousness. It's already bad enough that he was jealous of me and Jong Suk meeting up at home to help him with the script. We were only a few steps away from the guys, Jungkook coincidently turning around at the right moment to meet my gaze. He was about to smile, until he saw his worst enemy, his lips forming a scowl instead.
"Hey guys," Jong Suk introduced himself, greeting everyone one by one. Nobody has a problem with him except for Jungkook, so it wasn't that hard for him to adjust. He was already making them laugh, only being here for a few minutes.
Jungkook discreetly shuffled his way next to me, gripping my bicep. "What's he doing here?" He whispered trying to not make it obvious. "Eunjae invited him. Sorry." I replied apologetic. "So you didn't have anything to do with this?" He asked curiously, a bit of a hopeful tone embedded in his words.
I shook my head.
After getting on a few more rides, we decided to play some games at the arcade. "Come on Eunjae, I'll race you." Hoseok said, grabbing her wrist as he led her to the driving games. Seokjin, Taehyung, and Jimin went to the street fighter games, Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jong Suk went to the basketball games, and Jungkook and I went to the skee-ball games.
"I'm really good at this, so I'll go easy on you." Jungkook said enthusiastically, finally relieved Jong Suk was out of his sight. I enjoy the "not jealous" side of Jungkook, it's certainly better than the jealous, possessive Jungkook. "Yeah, sure." I replied, mocking him and challenging his manhood.
He was honestly better than I anticipated, so I tried sabotaging him by taking the ball away from his hand. "Give it back! That's cheating!" He yelled, trying to get the ball from me. "No!" I said back, putting the ball under my shirt. "What's it with you cheating every time we play a game?"
He confidently reached under my shirt, making me squeal. "Hey stop!" I laughed, a bit ticklish from his fingers grazing my skin.
"Excuse me. You guys are an adorable couple, but my kids want to play," A lady interrupted us, both of our eyes looking down to see two smiling children.
I cleared my throat, "Oh, I'm sorry." "Here you go," Jungkook said, removing ourselves away from the machines. "Thank you so much," She said brightly, her kids excited to play.
"That was awkward..." I stated, rubbing the back of my neck. "Why? She called us an adorable couple. You should take that as a compliment." Jungkook replied, petting my head.
"Take what as a compliment?" A voice behind us asked, making me jump, but Jungkook obviously unfazed. "What the hell Jong Suk! You scared the shit out of me." He placed his slender finger on my lips, making Jungkook's eyes widen instead of mine. "Mind if I steal her for a bit, we'll be right back."
Jong Suk grabbed my hand, speed walking away towards the exit. I can already feel Jungkook's burning stare on the back of my head, his ears probably steaming ferociously.
We walked all the to the sandy beach, the sky already shining with bright stars. "Why are we here?" I asked him, having no idea why we had to walk all the way to the beach. "Why are you so distant from me?" He asked, his grip going from my hand to my wrist.
"What do you mean?" I asked him, trying to act oblivious. "Well, we used to hang out all the time, but then we kind of stopped," he responded. "But we were going to meet tomorrow..." I replied, trying to act like I wasn't trying to avoid him for Jungkook's benefit.
"Yeah, but I meant hang out just to hang out, not because of school or anything."
I'm sorry for confusing you. I'm confused myself. I wish I knew who my feelings were towards. They keep seesawing back and forth between you two and that's unfair. And lately, it has been leaning toward one side. Jungkook's side.
"I'm sorry," I apologized, giving him a tight hug. He chuckled, "It's okay, I know it's because of Jungkook."
Huh?
"Mind if I steal her from you?"
In a split second, it went from Jungkook stomping towards me, to his lips hungrily kissing mine. I didn't know what to think. All I could think of is that Jungkook was kissing me. Not because of his own benefit or own sexual desires. But because he finally realized he liked me. I didn't even bother to pull away and apologize to Jong Suk. The only one on my mind right now is Jungkook.
Finally.
I grazed my fingers through his silky brown hair, his arms wrapped tightly around my waist, almost crushing me to death. But I didn't care. We stood there for who knows how long, but I just didn't want it to end. Until we heard someone clear their throat, calling our attention.
We slowly let go of each other, our chests heaving up and down from the lack of air. We turned our heads to see the guys staring at us. None of them surprised to see us making out heavily.
"We need to have the talk."
