(making this shit extra long cuz I feel bad for being on hiatus xoxo)
"Don't be nervous, you'll do great."
I was trying to calm down Jongsuk as he was panicking through the phone. It was finally the day of the play, after months of rehearsal. Because I was in the theatre class as well, I had to help out with the production, so I decided to work backstage. "I don't know, what if my dad still doesn't want to support me?" He sighed into the phone, sounding a bit agitated.
"I'm not going to sugarcoat it Jongsuk, I don't know for sure. All I know is that you are an incredible actor and you should still follow through on your dreams no matter what."
He sighed in relief, "You always know how to make me feel better." I chuckled silently, "That's what friends are for." "Yeah. Anyways, I have to go and get ready for the play. See you later backstage," he replied. "Yeah, for sure. Bye."
I hung up and walked downstairs to the kitchen to get something to eat. Namjoon stared at me in puzzlement as I entered the room, "Hey, aren't you working the play? Don't you have to go already?" "My job isn't as important, so my presence isn't that urgent," I answered, rummaging through the refrigerator.
"I just organized it, so you better not mess it up," Jimin said as he walked in the room, grabbing cereal from the cabinet. "Yeah, yeah," I said, pulling out leftovers from last night's dinner. "You're going to eat Chinese food for breakfast?" Jimin added, and I exhaled in fake frustration.
"Technically, it's brunch. You gotta problem with that?" "Jimin, don't piss off my girlfriend," Jungkook warned as he walked in, rubbing the top of my head. Jimin rolled his eyes, "Sorry Jungkook's girlfriend, I didn't mean to offend you," he spoke sarcastically, bowing deeply. Namjoon giggled, at him, "You are so dumb."
Jimin shrugged, "I just wanted some damn cereal." Jungkook and I looked at each other and laughed. I grabbed a plate and placed some food on it, "Jungkook, can you put this in the microwave for me?" He cleared his throat, "What?" "Can you put it in the microwave?" I repeated. "Y-yeah sure," he said hesitantly. The two guys began to giggle mischievously amongst themselves and Jungkook glared at them.
"What's going on?" I asked, feeling left out. "He's scared of microwaves," Jimin blurted out and they both laughed even harder. My eyebrows rose in amazement, "You're scared of microwaves?"
"I mean, they can explode at any given moment, plus they give off radiation rays..." He ranted, trying to defend himself. I smiled widely, "That's cute." He shook his head as if he heard me incorrectly, "It is?" Even the pair making fun of him stared at me in puzzlement.
"My family and I couldn't use the microwave for a year because my mom thinks they are dangerous," I told them. "So I think it's cute that you and my mom have that in common." Jungkook let out a little 'huh' and looked at the guys, sticking out his tongue to mock them. Who knew Jungkook was afraid of microwaves?
After I finished my meal, I went back upstairs to my room to decide on an outfit, which I probably should have done last night. Oh well. It took me a while, but I finally narrowed it down to two outfits. I laid them down on my bed and walked to Taehyung's room for his opinion. Because he's such a fashion icon and whatnot. "Hey, Tae?" I knocked on the door. "Yeah?" He called out.
I opened the door and peaked my head in through the crack, "I need your input on an outfit." He smiled brightly, "You've come to the right person," he bounced off the mattress, "let's see." He followed me to my bedroom and stood there as he examined each outfit carefully.
"This one is cute, but it might get cold later in the evening." All I really wanted was a simple "go with this outfit" not a full on inspection of each article of clothing. But there he is, rubbing the bottom of his chin like if he was Guccio Gucci himself.
