They had German Shepherds with tactical harnesses! Those weren't just pets, they were attack dogs. Just by watching the men having trouble holding them back, I knew. They knew they'd been infiltrated. Andy and Ashely needed to get out of there!

"Guys you need to get out!" I exclaimed.

"Lexus!" CC scolded me but kept his fingers moving. "Guys you have thirty seconds to get into the safe and then you need to get out. There's two dogs about to be released that'll be on your ass within three minutes." He sounded overly calm. I on the other hand felt like my heart was going to leap from my chest.

"Well this should be interesting." Ashley answered and he sounded like he was excited about the dogs.

"Found the safe." Andy said like he wasn't even worried.

"Good. Twenty seconds."

CC's fingers were going crazy on the keyboard but then all of a sudden his screen froze. CC's eyes got wide and then he slammed down his laptop screen causing me to jump. I think he broke it.

What just happened?

"Guys they blocked me. They're on to us. Get out now." CC's voice had gone from calm to scary. The panic I felt before was nothing to what I felt now.

"Security systems are back up. Ashely don't move." Andy's voice commanded.

"You trip any one of those alarms and they'll be-." The communication was cut off. "Shit! Andy? Ashely? Fuck!" CC hit the dashboard.

CC pulled out a throw away phone. He was dialing what I guessed was either Jake or Jinxx. I couldn't just sit here. They were trapped. I couldn't let them get caught. I needed to act fast.

Reacting without thought, I opened the car door and bolted across the road before CC could stop me. The rain was beating at my face and the wind blew against me, almost like it was trying to prevent me from getting to the building. It also kept me from hearing CC who I'm sure was screaming at me.

As I reached the outskirts of the building, I realized something. I had no fucking clue what I was doing. How the hell was I going to help? All I could do was...create a distraction.

The men had followed the dogs in. No way they'd be looking behind them. If they knew the building had been infiltrated then they be on a bee line to that safe. All I had to do was make some sort of loud commotion near the door and get the hell out of there. The pouring rain should cover my tracks if/when the dogs came after me.

Slipping inside as quietly as I could, I searched my surroundings. Taking in every little detail I could, as fast as I could. Flood lights were the only light source, to my left was a staircase and there was a long hall straight ahead. The hallway turned to the right a ways up ahead and there were three doorways before the turn in the hall. One of the right, two on the left.

Creeping in the shadows I made it to the first doorway and tried the handle. It didn't budge. Listening as hard as I could I made out faint voices, they sounded as if they were wherever this hall went. Sliding to the other side of the hall, I tried the two other doors. One of them opened up to a maintenance closet.

Without thought I grabbed the plastic mop bucket, chucked it as hard as I could against the hallway's wall and slammed the door to the maintenance closet. Pausing for a second, I heard the dogs barking and a man yell. Smiling at the fact that my plan was working, I sprinted as hard as I could towards the exit. No way in hell was my ass about to get eaten by an attack dog. CC was going to kill me but my distraction just saved Andy and Ashley's asses.
