I bought a car. I officially bought my own car. It was my first. I'd never owned a car before. It just wasn't something feasible for me in the past. Payments were never an option, my work was never guaranteed and rent was more important. Then add in the other expenses like gas, insurance, maintenance, I just couldn't afford it until now.

I opted out of doing payments, although it was something to consider for future. I bought the damn thing outright. Just cause I could. I also went all out and went new, new. It had twelve miles on it total.

"You are something else." Noah smirked at me from the passenger seat. He leaned his head back against the two toned headrest.

"Oh yeah? Why's that?" I merged my new car into traffic. This thing rode so smooth.

"You bought a Lexus, Lexus." I grinned widely at him. Cliché I know.

I'd bought a black Lexus IS 350 F Sport, whatever that meant. All I know was it was pretty, super comfortable and made me feel like I was in a spaceship with all the fancy electronic features. It cost a pretty penny yet in terms of "sports" cars it was fairly cheap.

"I had to." Noah chuckled and shook his head. Covering my hand on my shifter with his, I flipped mine over and our fingers laced.

"Since I came with you to buy a car, you have to come with me to buy a bike." Glancing over at him, his smirk widened. "The garage is up here on the right."

"Like a bicycle?" I teased. The thought of his long legs trying to pedal a kid sized bike was comical. He squeezed my hand with a chuckle.

"Yes. I'll roll up on my shiny new pedal bike. I'll have to beat you and all the other ladies off with a stick when I ring the bell." I laughed out loud at the image he created.

The garage had numerous motorcycles for sale. All different makes and styles. I new squat about them. I followed Noah quietly as he spoke with an employee that appeared to know the bikes inside and out.

In the end, Noah wasn't interested in any of them. He wanted a custom bike made. This shop apparently specialized in custom work. Noah told the guy he'd been building his dream bike in his head for years and finally decided it was time to make it real. I was excited to see what his dream was and to take a ride on it.

*~*~*

Noah left for his gig and he took my ability to sleep without medication with him. I'd wake in a sweat after reliving my assault on a loop. The medication took a while to kick in which left me lying in my bed trying to push the horrors out of my head.

I'd gotten the all clear from Adeline from the STD and STI test. If I'd gotten something from that sick fuck I probably would've lost my shit. That would have been what sent me over the edge. He took away my ability to sleep restfully as well as took my confidence in myself. The least he could do was keep his diseases to himself.

I'd gone back to training. I got curious looks but no one questioned my absence. Lotus questioned my mobility in private which I was able to answer truthfully. She was mortified. It didn't feel right to add in the rest of what happened at that moment, nor was it in the right place.

Weapon training was still in full effect. Everyone had moved on to a new weapon and I was ready to as well but with my rib pain I was limited. Throwing knives or guns. A knife was my weapon of choice so I went with a gun.

I was the only one who chose a gun. Which was kind of a relief to me. There was a shooting range attached to the gym. It was cleverly hidden behind a door that I always thought was a closet until we started weapon training. The range only had a few lanes but nonetheless it was still was an indoor shooting range.
