Chapter 8. Meeting New Friends

Chapter 8.

" Oh my god! " I say with wide eyes, " This place is Amazing! "

It had the same theme as the outside of the house. with a mix of Victorian and modern, it was very tasteful with modern fixtures, paint, and lights. and Victorian furniture, and decor.

I snap out of my thoughts when, Onyx starts talking, " Well I think it's time for a tour of the inside.  " She says with a smile.

" That sounds great. I would love one.  " I say smiling, " It looks awesome so far, I can't wait to see more!. "

Onyx smiles and starts the tour by turning left, and walking down a long hallway. " Down this hall and through this door, is the kitchen. " She says pointing at the third door on the right.

Phoenix, opens the door. I look inside and I'm speechless.  it's very pretty with black Victorian style cabinets, white granite countertops, bright royal blue walls, white tile flooring, white and blue tile back splash, and stainless steel appliances.

it left me dazzled.

" Wow! " Was all that I was able to say.

Phoenix chuckles, " Are you going to zone out, and keep drooling the whole tour? or do you want to snap out of it? " He says with a smirk.

I shrug, smirking back. " I can't help it. " I say.

Onyx rolls her eyes at me and says,  " She likes to cook remember?. " smiling at Phoenix.

I nod, " Yep, and this kitchen is top notch.  " I say grinning like a fool. then add, " Let's get on with the tour. shall we. "

" We shall. " Phoenix said as he bows and offers Onyx and I his hands,  " M'ladies. " He smirks as we take them.

" Oh! what a gentleman!. " I say sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

* SKIP TO THE LAST ROOM *

We saved the game room for the last room of the tour.

When we walk in, I see there are two couples relaxing on two of the very comfortable looking couches. Phoenix clears his throat, and they look over at us. the couples get up and walk over to us. a six foot tall, pale skinned boy with red/orange hair and light brown eyes, that on closer inspection have red specks in them. and a girl a little bit taller then my five foot seven inches, with sapphire blue eyes and dark blue hair in a long layered style, and a pretty smile. and come to stand in front of me, slightly in front of the others. the boy speaks first, " Allow me to introduce myself. my name is Jackel, and this lovely lady is my mate and wife, Saphire. " He says with a slight bow, and smiles lovingly at Saphire.

I smile and say, " It's a pleasure to finally meet all of you. "

The other couple steps forward. the girl rushes up to me and gives me a hug. she has fire engine red hair in a pixie cut. when she pulls away I see she is  shorter then me buy a good three inches,  and has light grey eyes with red specks in them, and a bright cheerful smile on her face. " Hi, I'm Scarlet it's so good to finally meet you! Oh! and this is my mate and husband, Vallander. " She says beaming another smile at me, then sending him a loving look.

He smiles back at her. then looks at me, " Pleasure. " He says.

With just that one look I could feel a wave of his power hit me. I instantly knew he was a born vampire, and a pretty old one at that. he had to be at least twelve centuries old, if not more. I take a good look at him.

He has powerful dark blue/grey eyes and shoulder length pitch black hair, and a six foot eight inch tall well muscled body.

I smirk as I say, " And you must be the head of this Coven, and judging by your age, and the power I can feel coming off you in waves, a strong one. "

He raises one eyebrow and says, " How is it that you can feel that? a human normally can not even tell that a person who is standing right in front of them is not human, let alone feel how much power someone has. "

I shrug, " I don't know. but I think it's linked with all my other abilities. " I said.

He looked at me with surprise, " You have other abilities?. "

" Yes I do. though I don't know for sure how many I have. " I inform.

" That is really strange. I have never come across a human with more then one. " He said with a thoughtful expression.

I hmm in agreement.

" what abilities are the most prominent? " Vallander asks.

" Well being able to feel power is an obvious one. I can speak to and understand animals, just like I would you. then there's my visions, I can see the past, present time, and the future. all in a blink of an eye. " I say with a small smile.

" Wow! that's awesome!. " Jackel cuts in, " All I can do is normal vampire stuff. and you're not even a vamp!. "

I chuckle, " Yes at times it can be helpful, but most of the time it can be a pain, I can't always interfere when I see something bad happen. " I say with a small pained smile.

" I agree. it would ware on the soul to see that all of the time, and to know that you can not interfere. it would break any normal person. you must be a really strong person. " Vallander says with awe in his voice.

I blush at the complement and trying to change the subject I ask, " Could I try to guess your age Vallander?. " I wait for him to nod before I continue, " well judging by your power level, I would have to say that you're in the range of twelve to thirteen centuries old. "

" That guess would be right on the money, I am 1,256 years old. " Vallander informed. then adds, " How is it that you can know all of this information about us, when you are just human? I would not think that even the visions would give you all of this information. "

I shrug, " They are just feelings I get. I've just learned to trust my gut. " I said looking just as confused as the rest of them.

" Hmm. I will do some research later on tonight and see what I can dig up.  " Vallander said.

Scarlet looks at me with a smile and asks, " So what are you kids planning for tonight?. "
